The government has debunked a video circulating on social media claiming that Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is promoting an investment scheme. Press Information Bureau’s Fact Check Unit termed the claim fake, saying that the viral video is AI-generated. It said that no such scheme was promoted by the Finance Minister.

PIB has asked citizens to always verify financial claims through official government portals or regulatory bodies like the RBI. The government has also urged citizens to avoid clicking on suspicious links and never share banking or OTP details on unverified platforms.
