Government says provision of 95,692 crore has been made for Viksit Bharat-G RAM G scheme in financial year 2026-27

The Government today said that a provision of 95 thousand 692 crore rupees has been made for the Viksit Bharat-Guarantee for Rozgar and Ajeevika Mission (Gramin) (Viksit Bharat-G RAM G) scheme in the financial year 2026-27. In a written reply in the Rajya Sabha, Minister of State for Rural Development Kamlesh Paswan said, under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme, (Mahatma Gandhi NREGS), an allocation of thirty thousand crore rupees has been made. He said that this is expected to meet the financial commitments under Mahatma Gandhi NREGS till the Viksit Bharat-G RAM G Act commences. The Minister said, the government is committed to releasing admissible pending liabilities to the States as per established procedures. He said that the Government shall determine the State-wise normative allocation for each state based on objective parameters as may be prescribed by the Central Government.
