The Union Government has released the Fifteenth Finance Commission Grants for the financial year 2025-26 to Rural Local Bodies in Mizoram. The Ministry of Panchayati Raj today informed that the first instalment of the United Grants, amounting to more than 15 crore rupees, has been disbursed.

The Ministry added that these funds will benefit all 808 eligible Village Councils of the State. The Ministry further said The Grants will be utilised by Rural Local Bodies or Panchayati Raj Institutions for location-specific felt needs, except for salaries and other establishment costs.
