The government has refuted a video circulating on social media which claims that Union Minister Piyush Goyal is promoting an investment platform that promises weekly income. The fact-check unit of the Press Information Bureau informed that the video is digitally altered and clarified that no such scheme has been endorsed by the government. PIB has asked citizens to beware of such misleading investment scams that intend to lure people and steal their money. Citizens have been advised to cross-check with official sources before believing or sharing such content.
