The Government has debunked a video circulating on social media claiming that the Indian Army entered Kolkata in large numbers and was blocked by civilians. The video also claims that Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee was injured, her residence was attacked by the CRPF, and that foreign embassies in Kolkata were ordered to shut down. The Fact Check Unit of the Press Information Bureau (PIB) said that the claim is fake. The Unit added that the claims are part of a coordinated disinformation campaign from Pakistani propaganda networks. The government has urged the citizens not to believe such content and always verify them through official government sources.
