In Goa, the Chief Electoral Officer has outlined the next steps in Goa’s Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls. Out of the total electorate, around 1 lakh voters, or 8.45 percent, fall under the ASDD category, where enumeration forms were not received. Another 1.82 lakh voters, around 15.4 per cent, are classified as unmapped, as their forms could not be linked to the database.
Notices will be issued to all unmapped voters, asking them to appear for a single hearing with one of 13 prescribed documents. Each Assembly Constituency will hold limited hearings to avoid overcrowding, and decisions on inclusion or deletion will be taken the same day by the Assistant Returning Officer.
The CEO said voters working abroad can regularise their status through Form 6 and supporting documents during the hearing period. Draft rolls will be published first, with hearings starting about 20 days later. Lists are now largely frozen, except for minor corrections.
Draft rolls, along with the ASDD list, will be published on December 16 and be available at booths, election offices and websites. Claims and objections can be filed till January 15. About 1.82 lakh voters remain unmapped. Notices and hearings will follow. Final rolls will be published on February 14, 2026.
