The 77th Republic Day was celebrated across the country. The National Flag was unfurled at the respective state capitals to mark the occassion.
ASSAM: Assam has joined the rest of the country to celebrate the 77th Republic Day in a grand manner. The main state function was held at Khanapara in Guwahati. Governor Lakshman Prasad Acharya today unfurled the tri-colour at the main state function which was held at Khanapara in Guwahati. Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma unfurled tri-colour at Dibrugarh, whilst cabinet members and senior officials participated in celebrations at various locations.
SIKKIM: Sikkim joins the celebration of 77th Republic Day today at Palzor Stadium Gangtok. Governor of Sikkim Om Prakash Mathur graced the occasion as Chief Guest. The celebration also has the presence of Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang.
ODISHA: In Odisha, Governor Hari Babu Kambhampati today unfurled the National Flag at the state-level Republic Day celebrations held at Mahatma Gandhi Marg in Bhubaneswar. He took the salute of the Republic Day parade on the occasion of the 77th Republic Day. Chief Minister Mohan Majhi unfurled the National Flag at Barabati Stadium in Cuttack. Addressing the gathering on the occasion, he highlighted the importance of the Constitution, India’s freedom struggle and the nation’s progress.
KERALA: As part of the 77th Republic Day celebrations, Kerala Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar unfurled the national flag at the Central Stadium in Thiruvananthapuram today. The Governor inspected the parade and received the salute from various contingents, including the armed forces, police and NCC.
HARYANA: Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini unfurled the national flag in Gurugram on Republic Day today and inspected the parade and took salute from the march past. Greeting the people of the state on Republic Day, the Chief Minister saluted all the members of the Constituent Assembly including Constitution architect Babasaheb Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar.
GUJARAT: The state-level celebration of the 77th Republic Day in Gujarat became a proud moment for Vav-Tharad district. For the first time after the formation of Vav-Tharad district, the state-level celebration of the Republic Day was held. Governor Acharya Devvrat unfurled the national flag and saluted at Malupur Parade Ground.
CHHATTISGARH- In Chhattisgarh, Governor Ramen Deka unfurled the national flag and reviewed the parade at the main Republic Day ceremony held in the state capital Raipur. Addressing the gathering, the Governor said that for years Chhattisgarh had endured the trauma of Maoist violence. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Chhattisgarh launched a well-planned strategy to combat Maoism.
JHARKHAND: On the occasion of 77th Republic Day today, Jharkhand Governor Santosh Kumar Gangwar hoisted the national flag and took the salute of the parade at Morabadi Ground in Ranchi. Republic Day ceremonies were also held in Bokaro, Giridih, Lohardaga, Dumka, Sahibganj, Seraikela, and at the Jharkhand High Court.
ANDHRA PRADESH: The state marked a historic moment on Republic Day as the celebrations were held for the first time in Amaravati, the capital city. Governor Justice S. Abdul Nazeer unfurled the national flag and took the guard of honour from 11 contingents, including the Indian Army, AP Special Police, CRPF, Kerala Armed Police, NCC, Bharat Scouts and Guides, Youth Red Cross, and other organisations.
KARNATKA: The 77th Republic Day celebrations were held in Karnataka with patriotic fervour and cultural extravaganza. Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot unfurled the national flag in Bengaluru and delivered the Republic Day speech.
LADAKH: In Ladakh, the 77th Republic Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm across all centres of Akashvani Kargil. At Akashvani Baroo, the National Flag was unfurled by Er. Jamuna Prasad, Assistant Engineer, in the presence of officials, their family members, children, and inmates of Bal Ashram.
PUNJAB: The state-level Republic Day progaram was organized at Shaheed Bhagat Singh Multipurpose Sports Stadium in Fazilka, where the Governor, Gulab Chand Kataria unfurled the flag and took the salute from the parade.
RAJASTHAN: Governor Haribhau Bagade unfurled the National Flag and took the salute of the ceremonial parade in state level Function organised at SMS Stadium in Jaipur. This year theme of the celebration has been kept Vande Mataram @ 150.
MAHARASHTRA : Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis unfurled the national flag at the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Maidan at Dadar in an official function. Important buildings in Mumbai like Mantralaya, BMC Headquarters, Western Railway and Central Railway headquarters have been illuminated in tri-colour lights.
