Garia Puja is being celebrated across Tripura on Tuesday with great enthusiasm and devotion. People from both tribal and non-tribal communities are participating in the festivities, spreading messages of harmony, goodwill, and welfare.
Community pujas have been organized at several locations in Agartala, including Pragati School Ground, Krishnanagar Boys Club, Netaji Club and Cosmopolitan Club, along with many other places across the state. Devotees are offering bamboo poles decorated with leaves, colorful threads, and cloth, along with flowers and fruits, to appease Baba Garia.
The main state-level arrangement is being held at Garjantoli in Teliamura under the initiative of the Jamatia Hoda. Members of various tribal communities are observing the rituals with deep faith, praying for prosperity, good health, and overall well-being.
On the occasion, greetings were extended to the people of the state by Governor Indrasena Reddy Nallu, Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha, and Leader of the Opposition Jitendra Chaudhury, among others.
