Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman met Bavarian Minister for European and International Affairs Mr. Eric Beisswenger in Munich, Germany.
In a social media post, Ms. Sitharaman said that, in light of the German Chancellor’s recent visit to India in January this year, the two leaders discussed how the deep bilateral partnership between the two nations continues to strengthen.
They also discussed the recently concluded India-EU FTA and explored avenues for climate finance through green and sustainable partnerships, and exchanged the best practices in the recycling industries from the two countries.
The Finance Minister further underlined India’s focus on skilling and highlighted the Union Budget 2026-27 announcements in the areas of skilling, especially in the health care sector in India.
