Five killed as fire engulfs furniture showroom in Hyderabad

Five people were killed as fire engulfed in a furniture showroom at Nampally, Hyderabad. A fire which broke out yesterday afternoon was brought down to control after After a 22-hour rescue operation.

Fire Director General Vikram Singh Mann stated today that the building lacked fire safety measures, and chemical materials blocked the ramp, preventing people from escaping. The names of deceased identified by officials as Praneeth, Akhil, Bebi, Imtiaz, and Habib. The bodies were taken to Osmania Hospital for postmortem.

Meanwhile, a team of JNTU experts is assessing the building’s structural integrity, and a decision on demolition will be taken based on their report. Search operations are ongoing to locate another person suspected to be trapped in the building during the incident.
