The First Level Checking FLC of the Electronic Voting Machine EVMs for the Assembly election in West Bengal has started today at Newtown in Kolkata. The ECI team, led by Sr. Deputy Election Commissioner Gyanesh Bharti, is present in the workshop. This team is touring West Bengal at present for the review of SIR in the state.
Madhusudan Gupta, Secretary, Election Commission of India and P.C. Monda, Senior Deputy General Manager of the Electronics Corporation of India Limited, ECIL, have joined the programme at the venue. The office of the Chief Electoral Officer West Bengal, has informed all the 24 District Election Officers DEOs and has also joined the FLC checking workshop.
