The Embassy of India in Riyadh has launched the third edition of Pravasi Parichay, a week-long cultural festival running from October 28 to November 3, 2025, celebrating India’s diverse cultural heritage across Saudi Arabia. The festival, which was first established in 2023 through a partnership with Indian diaspora associations in the Kingdom, features state-themed days showcasing Indian classical dance, music, folk art, and culinary traditions.
This year’s edition opened with a spectacular Bollywood Musical Night where talented singers from the Indian community delivered captivating performances blending timeless classics with modern hits that left audiences spellbound. Running concurrently with the musical performances, the Viksit Bharat Art Exhibition displayed more than 20 exceptional paintings by women artists from the Indian community, offering a visual celebration of India’s artistic diversity.
The festival’s timing holds special significance as it coincides with National Unity Day on October 31, reinforcing India’s values of unity in diversity. Indian Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Dr. Suhel Ajaz Khan, expressed his appreciation for the Indian community’s pivotal role in making Pravasi Parichay a resounding success year after year. He emphasized that the festival not only amplifies the richness of Indian culture, art, and cuisine but also strengthens the bond between the Embassy and the diaspora in Saudi Arabia.
The event has garnered enthusiastic participation from the Indian community in Saudi Arabia, with diaspora organizations playing a key role in organizing performances and cultural engagements throughout the week-long celebration. The festival continues to serve as a platform for the Indian community to showcase their cultural heritage while fostering deeper connections within the diaspora and with their host country.
