The Election Commission has said that voters can access details about their Assembly constituency candidates educational qualifications and criminal antecedents by using the ECINET Platform. The voters can also download the entire affidavit submitted by the candidates. ECINET is the world’s largest electoral service platform, bringing all electoral services together in one seamless experience by integrating more than 40 apps and portals of the Election Commission.
The Election Commission has announced the schedule for the Assembly elections of Assam, Kerala, Puducherry, Tamil Nadu and West Bengal. A total of 1,955 candidates are in the fray for the elections to the legislative assemblies of Assam, Kerala, and Puducherry and bye elections in four states, which go to polls on 9th April.
The Commission said that the citizens can use the Know Your Candidates module of ECINet to get the information about criminal cases, assets and liabilities and educational qualifications.
