The election campaigning for the second and final phase of the Bihar Assembly elections has gained further momentum. Along with senior leaders of the NDA and the Mahagathbandhan, leaders of other parties have also put their full strength into campaigning.
Senior BJP leader and Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address two public meetings today in Aurangabad and Kaimur districts. Meanwhile, senior BJP leader and Union Home Minister Amit Shah addressed an election rally in Jamui.
He will also participate in a roadshow in Purnea in support of NDA candidates. Union Minister and RPI leader Ramdas Athawale will campaign in Jamui and Gaya in support of NDA candidates. From the Congress party, senior leader Rahul Gandhi will address public meetings in Bhagalpur and Banka, while the Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge will attend rallies in Gaya and Rohtas.
The Mahagathbandhan’s chief ministerial candidate, Tejashwi Prasad Yadav, will address 18 public meetings in Purnea, Araria, Bhagalpur, and Banka. Prashant Kishore, the founder of Jan Suraaj Party, will take part in a roadshow in Nawada, while Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav will address an election rally in Aurangabad. Leaders of other parties have also thrown their full strength into the campaigning.
Speaking to media in Patna, Patna, Congress MP Pramod Tiwari said that Bihar is witnessing a political revolution in this election.
LJP-R National President and Union Minister Chirag Paswan said the people of Bihar have unwavering faith in the NDA’s double-engine government.
Jan Suraaj Party founder Prashant Kishor said the historic participation of the people during the first phase of voting reflected a shift in public sentiment. Meanwhile, JD(U) national spokesperson Rajeev Ranjan hailed the record polling numbers as a positive sign for the ruling alliance.
In the second and final phase of the assembly elections, voting will be held on 11th November in 122 assembly constituencies across 20 districts, while the counting of votes will take place on November 14.
