Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan said that National Education Policy 2020 enables global academic collaboration. He said this while addressing the closing session of India-Spain Conference on Higher Education, held on the sidelines of the India AI Impact Summit 2026 in New Delhi on Friday. Mr Pradhan highlighted that the Spain-India Dual Year 2026 marks 70 years of diplomatic ties between the two countries. He said that education, research and youth exchanges are central to their shared vision.
The Minister also underlined that Artificial Intelligence must strengthen human judgment, creativity and ethical responsibility, and not replace them. He also extended an invitation to leading Spanish universities to establish campuses in India.
