The Election Commission has categorically dismissed as baseless and false the allegations made by Trinamool Congress candidate and Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee regarding the vote counting in Bhabanipur Assembly constituency. In a statement issued by the District Election Officer of South Kolkata, it was clarified that the entire counting process was conducted strictly in line with the Commission’s rules and regulations. According to the DEO’s report, the process was free, fair, and transparent, with every step carried out under strict compliance with the law.

The allegation that CCTV cameras were switched off during counting was categorically denied, with officials confirming that the cameras remained operational throughout.
