EAM S Jaishankar holds meeting with Jamaican counterpart Kamina Johnson Smith 

External Affairs Minister Dr S. Jaishankar held a meeting with his Jamaican counterpart Kamina Johnson Smith, along with other Cabinet Ministers of the country. In a social media post, Dr Jaishankar said that during the meeting, they reviewed various facets of the partnership between India and Jamaica. They also deliberated on taking forward ties in education, health, agriculture, digital tourism, sports, entertainment, infrastructure, capacity building and multilateral issues.

Dr Jaishankar also interacted with Jamaica’s industry and business leaders. He emphasised that the imperative to deepen India-Jamaica business ties is that much stronger as countries across the globe diversify and seek reliable partners. He noted that the potential for economic cooperation between the two nations needs to be explored more vigorously, both for bilateral and regional possibilities.
