A team of devotees travelling from Tenkasi to Varanasi via Thanjavur as part of the Prime Minister’s Sage Agasthiya Vehicle Expedition (SAVE) to participate in Kashi Tamil Sangamam 4.0 arrived in Puducherry today. The group was received and felicitated by Puducherry Lieutenant Governor K. Kailasanathan.
Scholars addressed the gathering on themes including Tamil identity, the historical links between Tamil Nadu and Kashi, and Puducherry’s contribution to the growth of the Tamil language. A cultural programme was also organised to welcome the visiting team.
Puducherry Legislative Assembly Speaker R. Selvam, Home Minister A. Namassivayam, and MLA Kalyanasundaram took part in the event.
