The Dense fog conditions in the northern parts of the country impacted train operations today. According to the Delhi Division of Railways, more than 23 Delhi-bound trains are running late by over two hours. Passengers are advised to check the latest status of the trains before arriving at the station to board them.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast dense fog over Bihar, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, Punjab and Uttar Pradesh till tomorrow. The Met Department predicted similar conditions to prevail over Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Madhya Pradesh, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim for the next two days. Meanwhile, rainfall and snowfall with thunderstorm lightning are expected over Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand for the next three to four days. The weather agency predicted squally weather with wind speed reaching up to 55 kilometres per hour over the Comorin area and the adjoining Gulf of Mannar during the next two to three days.
