Delhi’s Chief Electoral Office has published the final electoral roll for the National Capital Delhi. According to the office, more than 1 crore 55 lakh voters are registered in Delhi, comprising over 83 lakh male voters, more than 71 lakh female voters, and one thousand two hundred 61 third-gender voters. It said that more than 52 thousand voters have been added between the age group of 18 to 19 years in the last two months. The office said it has received over 5.1 lakh new enrollment forms since the 16th of last month.
It said that after the release of the final roll, the Vikaspuri assembly had the largest number of electors, with over 4 lakhs 62 thousand voters, while the Delhi Cantt assembly had the smallest electorate with 78 thousand eight hundred and 93 electors. It added that more than 5 lakh forms were received for new enrollment in the last 20 days. Meanwhile, the Delhi CEO said that eight FIRs have been filed against 24 people for the submission of false and tampered documents for obtaining voter ID.
