The Delhi Police has implemented a multi-layered security system across the city in view of the festivals of Dhanteras and Diwali. In a statement, Delhi Police informed that special security measures have been put in place at key markets, crowded public places and commercial hubs to ensure a safe and secure festival for all residents. It said that Delhi Traffic Police has ensured maximum manpower to regulate the heavy vehicular movement to ensure smooth flow of traffic, pedestrian safety and public convenience. According to the Police, foot patrolling is underway in all districts to ensure public safety and maintain law and order. Adequate number of Delhi Police personnel have been deployed along with CAPF personnel as force multipliers across all police districts of the national capital.
