Delhi LG Vinai Kumar Saxena says Delhi Govt successfully integrated 75 digital services through its e-governance initiative

Delhi Lieutenant Governor Vinai Kumar Saxena today said that the Delhi Government has successfully integrated about 75 digital services across various departments with Citizen Centric Services through its e-governance initiative. Mr Saxena said this while addressing the Winter Session of the Delhi Legislative Assembly. He said that the government has simplified business processes under the Ease of Doing Business initiative.
 
Mr Saxena said that the government undertook an e-Office initiative to digitise all government offices, helping to make the governance system more accessible and transparent. The Lieutenant Governor said that the government had allocated a budget of one lakh crore rupees, focusing on 10 key priority sectors including infrastructure, education and health. He also highlighted that all shops and commercial establishments in Delhi are permitted to remain open 24 into 7, except liquor shops.
 
In his address, Mr. Saxena laid emphasis on progress made in the health sector. He said that under Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana, more than 6 lakh Ayushman cards have been issued in the national capital. He also said, 29 Jan, Aushadi Kendras are functioning in the capital to provide affordable medicines.
 
Aam Aadmi Party’s four MLAs, including Sanjeev Jha, Som Dutt, Kuldeep Kumar and Jarnail Singh, have been suspended for the three sittings of the ongoing Delhi Assembly session. The suspension was imposed due to their unruly behaviour during the address of the Lieutenant Governor in the assembly today.
 
In this regard, Delhi Cabinet Minister Parvesh Sahib Singh moved a motion to suspend opposition MLAs, which was adopted by the house.
