On the night of Diwali, the Delhi Fire Department received over 269 calls about fire incidents in the national capital. Deputy Chief Fire Officer AK Malik said that the department responded swiftly, ensuring that no minor incidents escalated into major ones and no citizens were injured. He informed that a major incident took place in the Janakpuri area and seven people were rescued.
