Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta today announced that this year’s Chhath Puja will be celebrated on both banks of the Yamuna River. She announced this after chairing a high- level meeting at Delhi Secretariat for preparation of Chhath festival in the national capital.
Chief Minister Gupta said that the special arrangements will be made so that devotees can perform rituals without any inconvenience. Highlighting on the growing population of Purvanchal residents who celebrate chhath in Delhi, she said that the pooja will be organised along both banks of the Yamuna from Palla in the north to Okhla in the south with full facilities for devotees.
