Delhi Beat Andhra Pradesh as Kohli Leads Successful Chase

In Domestic Cricket, star Indian batters Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma scored centuries on the opening day of the Vijay Hazare Trophy yesterday. Playing for Delhi, Virat Kohli scored 131 off 101 balls while chasing a target of 299 runs set by Andhra Pradesh at the BCCI Centre of Excellence Ground 1 in Bengaluru. Delhi won the match by 4 wickets with Priyansha Arya and Nitish Rana’s half-centuries, adding to Kohli’s ton. 
 
 
On the other hand, hitman Rohit Sharma made 155 off just 94 balls against Sikkim at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur. Sharma’s exceptional innings helped Mumbai beat Sikkim by 8 wickets while chasing a target of 237 runs. Moreover, Bihar scored the highest ever total in List A Cricket with 574 for 6 in 50 overs against Arunachal Pradesh in a Plate Group match at the JSCA Oval Ground in Ranchi. Batting first, Bihar’s Vaibhav Suryavanshi smashed 190 off  84 balls, while skipper Sakibul Gani remained unbeaten with 128 runs in just 40 balls. Ayush Loharuka also made a ton but got run out at a score of 116 runs. In response, Sikkim got bundled out for just 177 runs, and Bihar won the match by 397 runs. 
 
 
In another high-scoring match, Karnataka defeated Jharkhand by 5 wickets with a massive chase of 413 runs at the Narendra Modi Stadium B Ground in Ahmedabad. Batting first, Jharkhand scored 412 for 9 in 50 overs, with skipper Ishan Kishan’s 125 off just 39 balls and half-centuries by Virat Singh and Kushagra. In response, Devdutt Padikkal’s 147-run innings and huge partnership with skipper and opener Mayank Agarwal helped them chase the target easily.
