CSIR, ISRO Hold Bengaluru Brainstorming Session to Boost Gaganyaan & Chandrayaan-4 Collaboration

The Council for Scientific and Industrial Research and ISRO brainstorming session in Bengaluru today discussed ways to work in a coordinated manner for better results in space programmes. The effort is towards working together for Gaganyaan human space programme and Chandrayaan 4 programmes.

Speaking during the inauguration of the conference, ISRO Chairman V Narayanan said that the Indian Space Programme has come a long way from its humble beginning and today stands equal to other progressive countries running space programmes. He listed the recent launch of US made synthetic aperture radar or launch of 4410-tonne CMS 3 heaviest communication satellite and the future mission of Gaganyaan, Narayanan said this year alone, they have developed 225 technologies in payload development, propulsion system, launching technologies, cryogenic engine development and other applications for future programmes. He proposed setting up a Joint Steering committee for having better coordination with other public, private sector institutes, industries and academia. He said the Indian space programme has today become a social, economic and strategic necessity.
