In Women’s Cricket, India today registered its largest-ever win by 304 runs defeating Ireland in the 3rd ODI of the three-match series in Rajkot, Gujarat. India clinched the series 3-nil. Hosts posted a huge target of 436 runs. Chasing the target, Ireland were all out in 31.4 overs scoring 131 runs. Earlier, the Women in Blue created history by scoring a massive 435 runs for the loss of Five wickets in their 50 overs, their highest-ever ODI total. This is also the fourth-highest total in the history of Women’s cricket. Both the Indian openers, Smriti Mandhana and Pratika Rawal, scored centuries. Rawal smashed her maiden ODI hundred, scoring 154 runs off 129 balls. Mandhana notched up her 10th ton with 135 runs off just 80 balls scoring India’s fastest ODI century in women’s cricket. The pair also put on an impressive 231-run partnership in just 26.4 overs. Richa Ghosh contributed 59 runs in 42 balls. For Ireland, Orla Prendergast took two wickets.
