Congress releases manifesto for 2026 West Bengal Assembly elections

The Indian National Congress today formally released its manifesto for the 2026 West Bengal Assembly elections. At a press conference in Kolkata, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge unveiled the document, saying it reflects the vision and pace of development for the state.
 
Among the key promises made by the party are two thousand rupees monthly assistance for women and 15 thousand rupees financial support for farmers.
 
Shri Kharge categorically stated that their most important objective is the economic restructuring of the state. He criticized the Trinamool Congress government for failing to deliver development and also launched a sharp attack on the BJP-led central government.
 
The event was attended by state Congress President Shubhankar Sarkar, AICC General Secretary Ghulam Ahmed Mir, and other senior leaders.
