Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has said today that Vidarbha’s Naxal-affected Gadchiroli district will be developed as the Green Steel Hub of India. Speaking at the inauguration of the Advantage Vidarbha 2026 MP Industrial Festival at Rashtrasant Tukdoji Maharaj Nagpur University, Fadnavis said the proposed steel ecosystem would produce steel cheaper than China and supply global markets. He said the state aims to create industrial magnets to accelerate regional growth. He said, Nagpur is emerging as the country’s largest solar module manufacturing hub, generating nearly one lakh jobs. A second PM MITRA textile park and an aviation school are planned near Amravati.
