Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu today met a senior delegation of Pratt and Whitney led by its global president, Shane Eddy, in New Delhi. In a social media post, the minister said that the company’s growing investment footprint in India reflects how ease-of-doing-business reforms are encouraging global original equipment manufacturers to strengthen their presence in the country. Mr Naidu assured the delegation of complete support towards advancing the production of Make in India aircraft engines in the country. He said the work on their facility in Andhra Pradesh, for which the groundbreaking ceremony was done earlier, is continuing at a fast pace and is expected to be completed within about a year.
