National Award-Winning film, Chalo Jeete Hain, is being screened nationwide today across lakhs of schools and nearly 500 cinema halls to mark the 75th Birth Anniversary of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. It is inspired by a childhood incident from the life of Prime Minister Modi. The film tells the story of a young boy, Naru, who is deeply influenced by Swami Vivekananda’s philosophy and strives to make a difference in his small world.
The critically acclaimed film was originally released in 2018 and was among the most viewed short films of that year. The short film won the National Award for Best Non-Feature Film on Family Values at the 66th National Film Awards, announced in 2019. Chalo Jeete Hain is directed by Mangesh Hadawale and presented by Aanand L. Rai and Mahaveer Jain.
The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has called it a cinematic tribute to Swami Vivekananda’s philosophy and ideas, with the message of selflessness and service. The Ministry hopes the re-release will help spread this message to a new generation in an impactful manner. The special re-release started yesterday and will continue till 2nd October.
