Government has released tax devolution of one lakh one thousand 603 crore rupees to State Governments, as one advance instalment of tax devolution. Finance Ministry said in a statement that this has been done in view of upcoming festive season and to enable States to accelerate capital spending and finance their development and welfare related expenditure. Centre has released the additional tax devolution of one lakh one thousand 603 crore rupees to State Governments today, in addition to the normal monthly devolution due to be released on 10th October.
