In Kerala, a central team has arrived in Alappuzha district to assess the avian influenza situation. Avian flu cases have been reported in 16 locations across the district in three phases. As a preventive measure, around 41,000 birds were culled in two stages to contain the spread of the disease. The central team will evaluate the control measures in place and review the steps taken by the district administration.
