The Central Board of Direct Taxes, CBDT has launched a special campaign to advice taxpayers to voluntarily review and revise their returns on or before 31st of next month to avoid penal consequences.
This Campaign named Non-intrusive Usage of Data to Guide and Enable (NUDGE) aims to facilitate correct reporting in Schedule Foreign Assets (FA) and Foreign Source Income (FSI) in Income Tax Returns. Under this campaign CBDT will send SMSs and emails from tomorrow to identify taxpayers.
The CBDT urged all eligible taxpayers to utilise this opportunity to ensure complete compliance with statutory reporting requirements.
