In Assembly by-polls, BJP secures victory on one seat and is leading on another

The counting of votes was also taken up for the by-elections to eight assembly constituencies spread over 7 States. These constituencies are Budgam and Nagrota in Jammu and Kashmir, Anta in Rajasthan, Ghatsila in Jharkhand, Jubilee Hills in Telangana, Tarn Taran in Punjab, Dampa in Mizoram and Nuapada in Odisha.
 
 
In Jammu & Kashmir, BJP candidate Devyani Rana has won the Nagrota assembly seat. She defeated J&K National Panthers Party (India) candidate Harsh Dev Singh by a margin of 24 thousand 647 votes. PDP candidate Aga Syed Muntazir Mehdi is leading in Budgam.
 
 
In Mizoram, Mizo National Front candidate Dr. R. Lalthangliana has wothe n Dampa seat. He defeated his nearest rival and Zoram People’s Movement candidate Vanlalsailova by a margin of 562 votes.
 
 
In Odisha, BJP candidate Jay Dholakia is leading in Nuapada.
 
 
In Jharkhand, JMM candidate Somesh Chandra Soren is leading in Ghatsila.
 
 
In Telangana, Congress candidate Naveen Yadav V is leading in the Jubilee Hills seat.
 
In Rajasthan, Congress candidate Pramod Jain Bhaya is leading in Anta.
 
In Punjab, Aam Aadmi Party candidate Harmeet Singh Sandhu is leading in Tarn Taran.
