With cervical cancer being the second most common cancer in Indian women, this initiative marks a proactive step toward protecting the health of future generations.
Following World Health Organization (WHO) guidelines, a single-dose schedule is being implemented, which provides robust, durable, and cost-effective protection focusing on all girls aged 14, targeting over 1.15 crore girls annually.age group.
The vaccination will be provided free of cost at government health facilities, including Ayushman Arogya Mandirs (primary health centers), community health centers, and district hospitals.
This initiative is a critical, long-term investment in women’s health, aiming to make cervical cancer a rare, preventable disease rather than a leading cause of mortality.

When pollution levels rose in the coal belt, two Class VI students from Dhanbad, Swara S. Rao and Aavya Sahu, devised a solution by developing a biosignal paint that changes colour upon exposure to polluted air.

“Inspired by depictions of ancient Indian ships and constructed entirely using traditional stitched-plank techniques, INSV Kaundinya represents a rare convergence of history, craftsmanship and modern naval expertise.Unlike contemporary vessels, her wooden planks are stitched together using coconut coir rope and sealed with natural resins, reflecting a shipbuilding tradition once prevalent along India’s coasts and across the Indian Ocean. A writer, poet and lyricist in Hindi language. He also wrote some songs for Indian Hindi cinema, like the title song for Satyam Shivam Sundaram (1979), for which he also received a Filmfare Award nomination for Best Lyricist.
He published Abyudhay newspaper in 1934. He was founder of Vividh Bharati Seva of All India Radio is now Akashwani. He is best known for composing the title track to Raj Kapoor’s Satyam Shivam Sundaram. The philosophical lyrics weave a message about beauty, truth, and their divinity. He received his first Filmfare Award nomination for the popularity and complexity of this song.
