Prime Minister Narendra Modi unveiled various youth-focussed initiatives worth Rs 62,000 crore during the Kaushal Deekshant Samaroh in New Delhi yesterday, giving a decisive push to education, skilling, and entrepreneurship for youngsters across the country.During the Samaroh the Prime Minister launched the Pradhan Mantri Skilling and Employability Transformation through Upgraded ITIs- PM – SETU. The Prime Minister said that two more major schemes have been launched with the PM-SETU Scheme worth thousands of crores. He said, our ITIs will now be directly and strongly linked with industries. The Prime Minister said, PM-SETU scheme will benefit over one thousand ITIs across the country as they will be upgraded and modern machines will be introduced.

The Kaushal Deekshant Samaroh was the fourth edition of the National Skill Convocation, which was organised in accordance with the Prime Minister’s vision, where 46 all-India toppers from Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) under the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship were felicitated. The Prime Minister said, “Just a few years ago, our government started a new tradition of large-scale convocations for ITI students. Today, we are all witnessing another milestone in this tradition. Today’s ceremony symbolises the importance India places on skills. ”

GST Bachat Utsav, which was announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and commenced on the 22nd of the last month, is benefiting all sections of society. Today, our correspondent brings a report on the GST reforms that will empower different industries of West Bengal.
“The new GST reform is a big win for West Bengal’s artisans, farmers, and small businesses. Now clothes costing up to 2 thousand 500 rupees will be taxed only at 5 percent from the earlier 12 percent GST rate.This makes garments more affordable and gives a boost to the local textile industry. For Bengal’s traditional crafts and regional products, the change is especially meaningful. Handmade items like Shantiniketan leather goods, Bankura terracotta, Purulia Chhau masks, Nakshi Kantha embroidery, and processed mango products from Malda will now only have 5 percent GST. Darjeeling tea extracts also move to 5 percent, making them cheaper and more competitive worldwide. Jute eco-bags will also benefit, helping both the 2.5 lakh jute mill workers and 40 lakh jute farmers. This reform supports Bengal’s culture and gives its people a fairer chance to grow. With revised rates on goods, the next generation GST reforms aims to enhance affordability for consumers and improve margins for artisans. “Pineapple cultivation had been attempted in Mizoram in the past, but those early efforts saw little success. Farmers planted only in small quantities and did not prioritize pineapple as a main crop. As a result, there was no large-scale production or bulk sales during that time. However, the situation has changed as farmers in Mizoram have now recognized the potential of the pineapple market. Current harvests are large enough to supply the entire state and even allow for exports to other states. In Sialhawk village, one of the key pineapple-producing areas, farmers have reported that the demand for pineapple is strong both within Mizoram and beyond. With consistent sales and good prices, pineapple farming has become a reliable source of income for many. Pineapple growers from Sialhawk village says….
Sialhawk, Mizoram’s largest pineapple-producing village, has wrapped up its pineapple sales for the year, recording an impressive total revenue of ₹1,75,20,000. The earnings include proceeds from direct sales and other pineapple-related activities. Home to more than 250 pineapple-farming families, Sialhawk contributes approximately 64% of Mizoram’s total pineapple output. In a historic feat, the Border Roads Organisation (BRO) has once again scripted history by setting a new world record, as Project Himank constructed the world’s highest motorable road at Mig La Pass, located at 19,400 feet above sea level in eastern Ladakh near the Line of Actual Control (LAC). With this achievement, the BRO has surpassed its own previous record set at Umling La in 2021, which stood at 19,024 feet. Led by Brigadier Vishal Srivastava, the BRO team hoisted the National Flag and the organization’s flag at the site. The newly constructed road, part of the Likaru-Mig La-Fukche alignment, holds immense strategic importance as it forms the third crucial axis from Hanle to Fukche village near the border. In addition to its strategic value, the road is expected to boost tourism in Ladakh, offering breathtaking views of the Indus Valley. This milestone stands as a testament to the BRO’s engineering excellence in some of the world’s most extreme and challenging terrains.

भारतीय नौसेना का स्वदेशी स्टील्थ फ्रिगेट, आईएनएस सह्याद्री, दक्षिण चीन सागर और हिंद-प्रशांत क्षेत्र में पूर्वी बेड़े की परिचालन तैनाती के हिस्से के रूप में मलेशिया के केमामन बंदरगाह का दौरा किया। रक्षा मंत्रालय ने एक बयान में बताया कि जहाज ने इस महीने की 2 तारीख को दोनों देशों के बीच स्थायी सांस्कृतिक संबंधों और साझा समुद्री परंपराओं का जश्न मनाते हुए बंदरगाह का दौरा किया। इस यात्रा का उद्देश्य भारत-मलेशिया समुद्री सैन्य सहयोग को और मजबूत करना, दोनों नौसेनाओं के बीच अंतरसंचालनीयता और सर्वोत्तम नौसैनिक प्रथाओं का आदान-प्रदान करना था।
स्वदेशी रूप से डिजाइन, निर्मित और 2012 में कमीशन किया गया, आईएनएस सह्याद्री शिवालिक-श्रेणी निर्देशित मिसाइल स्टील्थ फ्रिगेट का तीसरा जहाज है। यह आईएनएस सह्याद्री की मलेशिया की तीसरी यात्रा है।

आज ही जयंती है, समाज सुधारक और बुहसर्जक रचनाकार किशोरी लाल घनश्याम दास मशरूवाला की, जिन्होंने तलाक और विधवा पुर्नविवाह जैसी स्थितियों का समर्थन किया। मशरूवाला गोपाल कृष्ण गोखले, बाल तिलक तथा थक्कर बाबा जैसे राष्ट्रीय नेताओं से गहरे रूप में प्रभावित थे।

Rani Durgavati (5 October 1524 – 24 June 1564) was the queen regent of Gondwana in 1550–1564 AD. She married the adopted King of Rajput ancestry Dalpat Shah, the son of King Sangram Shah of Gondwana. She served as regent of Gondwana during the minority of her son, Vir Narayan, from 1550 until 1564. She is chiefly remembered for defending Gondwana against the Mughal Empire.
दुर्गावती ने 16 वर्ष तक जिस कुशलता से राज संभाला, उसकी प्रशस्ति इतिहासकारों ने की है। आइना-ए-अकबरी में अबुल फ़ज़ल ने लिखा है- “दुर्गावती के शासनकाल में गोंडवाना इतना सुव्यवस्थित और समृद्ध था कि प्रजा लगान की अदायगी स्वर्णमुद्राओं और हाथियों से करती थी।”
वीरांगना महारानी दुर्गावती कालिंजर के राजा कीर्तिसिंह चंदेल की एकमात्र संतान थीं।-

Thiruvarutprakasa Vallalār Chidambaram Ramalingam (5 October 1823 – 30 January 1874), also known as Vallalār, Ramalinga Swamigal and Ramalinga Adigal, was one of the known Tamil saint who taught Jeevakarunyam meaning giving food for the hungry and also seeing GOD in all the both living and non living things. He also strongly emphasize “FEEDING POOR” is the important path to the Enlightenment. He is a renowned thinker of the 19th century who teaches deathlessness. He belongs to a line of Tamil saints who speaks about Siddhi meaning getting merged with the supreme God known as “ARUlPERUMJOTHI” gnana siddhars” (gnana means ‘higher wisdom’).

पंडित राम चतुर मल्लिक (अंग्रेज़ी: Ram Chatur Mallik, जन्म- 5 अक्टूबर, 1902, बिहार; मृत्यु- 11 जनवरी, 1990)
‘भारतीय शास्त्रीय संगीत’ की ध्रुपद-धमार शैली के प्रसिद्ध गायक पंडित राम चतुर मल्लिक ने भी आज ही के दिन जन्म लिया था। उनका जन्म बिहार के दरभंगा ज़िले के चमथा गाँव में हुआ था। इन्होंने ध्रुपद-धमार गायन शैली में सिर्फ़ भारत में ही नहीं बल्कि विदेशों में भी ख्याति प्राप्त की थी और देश का नाम रोशन किया। मल्लिक जी ध्रुपद, खयाल, ठुमरी और मैथिली लोकगीतों के अनुपम गायक थे।
एक शास्त्रीय गायक कलाकार के रूप में मल्लिक जी ने कई पुरस्कार व सम्मान प्राप्त किए हैं-
1949 में उन्हें आकाशवाणी के प्रथम श्रेणी के विशिष्ट कलाकार के रूप में सम्मानित किया गया था।
1953 में डॉ. राजेन्द्र प्रसाद ने इन्हें ‘बिहार संगीत नाटक अकादमी’ की फेलोशिप प्रदान की थी।
1957 में बम्बई की ‘सुर-श्रृंगार संसद’ द्वारा इन्हें मानपत्र और ताम्रपत्र प्रदान किया गया।
1964 में बिहार के राज्यपाल ए. एस. आयंगार ने ताम्रपत्र की उपाधि से विभूषित किया और उसी वर्ष ‘संगीत नाटक अकादमी पुरस्कार’ से भी उन्हें सम्मानित किया गया।
1976 में फ्राँस सरकार ने राम चतुर मल्लिक के ध्रुपद-धमार रिकार्ड को यूनेस्को प्रसारण के लिए चुना था।
फ्राँस के कुछ संगीत प्रेमी इनकी वीडियों रिकार्डिंग ले गये, जिस पर उन्होंने एक टैलीफ़िल्म तैयार की। फ्राँस, जर्मनी तथा कोलम्बिया ने इनके दो रिकार्ड भी जारी किए थे।

Kripalu Ji Maharaj (IAST: Kṛpālu; 5 October 1922 – 15 November 2013)was an Indian spiritual guru. He was the founder of Prem Mandir in Vrindavan and Jagadguru Kripalu Parishat (JKP), a Hindu non-profit organization with five main ashrams, four in India and one in the United States. On Makar Sankranti, 14 January 1957, he received the title of Jagadguru (world teacher) from Kashi Vidvat Parishat. His book Prem Ras Siddhant contains his teachings called Jagadguru Kripalu Bhaktiyoga Tattvadarshan. It expounds “the philosophy of divine love” and the practical path to God realization.

चो रामस्वामी (अंग्रेज़ी: Cho Ramaswamy, जन्म- 5 अक्टूबर, 1934, मद्रास; मृत्यु- 7 दिसम्बर, 2016, तमिलनाडु) आज ही जयंती है चो रामस्वामी से प्रसिद्ध ‘श्रीनिवास अय्यर रामस्वामी’ की, वे न सिर्फ भारतीय अभिनेता थे, बल्कि एक हास्य कलाकार, संपादक, राजनीतिक व्यंग्यकार, नाटककार, संवाद लेखक, फ़िल्म निर्देशक और अधिवक्ता भी थे। बाबूराव पटेल की ‘मदर इंडिया’ की तर्ज पर चो रामस्वामी ने तमिल में राजनीतिक व्यंय की पहली पत्रिका शुरू की थी और इसका नाम ‘तुग़लक़’ रखा था। दो सौ के करीब फ़िल्मों में हालांकि उन्होंने मसखरे की भूमिका ही निभाई, पर कुल तेईस नाटकों के जरिये रामस्वामी ने अपनी अलग पहचान बना ली, क्योंकि इनमें विदूषक की भूमिका निभाते हुए संवाद उनके लिए हुए थे;

ये पक्ंतियां हैं हिन्दी जगत् के प्रमुख साहित्यकार भगवतीचरण वर्मा की कविता की। आज ही दिन उन्होंने इस दुनिया को अलविदा कहा था। उन्होंने लेखन तथा पत्रकारिता के क्षेत्र में ही प्रमुख रूप से कार्य किया। कवि के रूप में भगवतीचरण वर्मा के रेडियो रूपक ‘महाकाल’, ‘कर्ण’ और ‘द्रोपदी’- जो 1956 ई. में ‘त्रिपथगा’ के नाम से एक संकलन के आकार में प्रकाशित हुए, उनकी विशिष्ट कृतियाँ हैं। यद्यपि उनकी प्रसिद्ध कविता ‘भैंसागाड़ी’ का आधुनिक हिन्दी कविता के इतिहास में अपना महत्त्व है। इसके बीच-बीच में इनके फ़िल्म तथा आकाशवाणी से भी सम्बद्ध रहे।
