Today’s broadcast comes with a heavy heart, as we mark a solemn milestone – the **40th anniversary of the Kanishka bombing**, a tragedy that shook the world and left an indelible scar on global consciousness.
On June 23, 1985**, Air India Flight 182 – also known as “Kanishka” – was on its scheduled route from Montreal, Canada, to London, and onward to New Delhi. But just as the aircraft soared over the Atlantic Ocean, off the coast of Ireland, a mid-air explosion ripped through the Boeing 747.

कल पूरी दुनिया में विश्व ऊँट दिवस मनाया गया। दुनिया में 90 देश ऐसे हैं जहाँ ऊँट पाए जाते हैं। दुनिया में कुल 6 तरह के ऊँट पाए जाते हैं, जिनमें से ऊँटों की दो नस्लें मुख्य रूप से गुजरात के कच्छ जिले में पाई जाती हैं, कच्छी और खराई ऊँट। जिनमें से खराई ऊँट सिर्फ़ गुजरात राज्य में पाए जाते हैं और इनकी सबसे ज़्यादा संख्या कच्छ में पाई जाती है।
ऊंटों को रेगिस्तान का जहाज माना जाता है, रेगिस्तानी इलाके में एक जगह से दूसरी जगह परिवहन के लिए ऊंटों का इस्तेमाल किया जाता है। लेकिन कोई हमें बताए कि ऊंट रेगिस्तान में सिर्फ चल ही नहीं सकते बल्कि रेगिस्तानी इलाके में समुद्र की खाड़ी में तैर भी सकते हैं। तो हम इस बात को सच नहीं मानते। लेकिन ये बिल्कुल सच है। खराई प्रजाति के ऊंट ऐसे होते हैं जो तपते रेगिस्तानी जमीन पर चल भी सकते हैं और समुद्र की खाड़ी में तैर भी सकते हैं। अगर खराई ऊंटों की खासियत की बात करें तो खराई ऊंट पूरे भारत में सिर्फ गुजरात और सबसे ज्यादा कच्छ क्षेत्र में पाए जाते हैं। समुद्र में तैरने की प्राकृतिक क्षमता सिर्फ खराई ऊंटों में ही होती है और किसी और ऊंट में नहीं। जो इन ऊंटों को दूसरे ऊंटों से अलग करती है।
तटीय खाड़ी में उगने वाले मैंग्रोव पौधे की पत्तियां खराई ऊंटका मुख्य भोजन हैं। इसके अलावा, खराई ऊंट तट की नमकीन मिट्टी में उगने वाले लाना, खारिजार और पिलुडी जैसे पौधों को चरता है। चूंकि इसका आहार मुख्य रूप से तटीय क्षेत्र की खारी वनस्पति है, इसीलिए इस ऊँट को खराई ऊँट के नाम से जाना जाता है। पश्चिम बंगाल के सुंदरवन के बाद कच्छ में सबसे ज्यादा चेर के जंगल हैं और खराई ऊंट इन्हीं जंगलों में रहते हैं। ऊंटों के प्रजनन और ऊंट पालकों के विकास के लिए पिछले 11 सालों से ऊंट पालकों के साथ काम करने वाले सामाजिक कार्यकर्ता महेंद्रभाई भनानी ने खराई ऊंट के बारे में यह बात कही।
कच्छ का खराई ऊंट एक दुर्लभ नस्ल माना जाता है। इस ऊंट की खासियत यह है कि यह समुद्री खाड़ी में तैर सकता है। यह किसी भी दलदल से निकलकर भी आ सकता है। यह ऊंट दिन में दो बार सुबह और शाम को 3 से 4 लीटर दूध भी देता है।
केंद्र सरकार के पशु संरक्षण दिशा-निर्देशों के अनुसार, अपने मूल क्षेत्र में 10,000 से कम की आबादी वाली किसी भी पशु नस्ल को संकटग्रस्त नस्ल माना जाता है, खराई ऊँटों की संख्या बहुत कम होने के कारण इन्हें लुप्तप्राय प्रजातियों की सूची में शामिल किया गया है। विभिन्न संगठन और ऊंट पालक इस संकटग्रस्त प्रजाति को बचाने की दिशा में काम कर रहे हैं और उन्हें उम्मीद है कि भविष्य में इसके अच्छे परिणाम मिलेंगे। परिक्रमा के लिए भुज से परेश मारू

The North Eastern state of Mizoram is a fertile ground for promotion of Horticulture products. With fertile land and conducive climatic atmosphere, Mizoram has produced a variety of Horticulture products over the years. In what could be called a pride for the state of Mizoram, the Horticulture produces are organic in nature. The state celebrated the Horticulture Fair with massive participation from farmers and the public at Aijal Club park in Aizawl from June 17 – 20, 2025. We have more insight from our Correspondent Isaac.
Horticulture plays a significant role in Mizoram’s economy, providing livelihoods for a large portion of the population. The state government has also been actively promoting horticulture through various schemes and initiatives, aiming to increase production, improve quality, and enhance market access for farmers.
Speaking to Akashvani News, Dean, College of Horticulture, Thenzawl Dr Shri Dhar said that Horticulture plays a pivotal role for the economic development of the state, He said that 85% of the geographical area of the state is under forest with fertility giving a boon for cultivation of Horticulture crops. Dr Dhar said that since the Horticulture products of Mizoram are organic, it can yield high income for the farmers community.
With the aim of promoting Horticulture products in the state, the Mizoram government has organised a Horticulture Fair since 2012 This year too, Horticulture Fair was organised witnessing the participation of more than 200 farmers. With lush green hills and fertility of the land, Mizoram has great prospects for the development of horticulture thereby contributing to the economic growth of the state. सरकारी स्कूल की ओर देखने का लोगों का नजरिया आम तौर पर संकुचित होता है. इन स्कुलों में पढनेवाले छात्रो की ओर भी इसी नजरिये से देखा जाता है. लेकिन अब यह नजरिया बदलना पडेगा. छत्रपति संभाजीनगर के नगर निगम के स्कूल में दसवी कक्षा में पढनेवाली एक छात्रा ने ऐसी ही मिसाल पेश की है, जो ऐसे नजरिये को बदलने के लिये प्रेरित करेगी.
छत्रपति संभाजीनगर नगरनिगम की स्कूल की छात्रा अंजली गायकवाड ने पीछले दिसंबर में युरोप के ॲस्टोनिया में हुई प्रतियोगिता में रोबोटिक्स प्रेझेंटेशन मे देश का प्रतिनिधीत्व किया था. इसी संदर्भ में केंद्रीय शिक्षा मंत्री धर्मेंद्र प्रधान के समक्ष देशभर के १२ छात्रों ने पीछले हप्ते अपने प्रोजेक्ट का प्रेझेंटेशन किया, अंजली भी इस में शामील थी. अपना यही अनुभव अंजली ने आकाशवाणी के साथ साझा किया..
“नमस्कार। मेरा नाम अंजली गायकवाड है। मैने जो दिल्ली मे प्रोजेक्ट सादर किया था, उसका नाम सायक्लोसिस्टीम था। यह प्रोजक्ट पेडों को बचाने मे बहोत बडी मदत करता है। जैस ही पेड मर जाता है, हमे वो उपर से हरा दिखता है, ॲक्चुअली उसके अंदर क्या हो रहा है, ये इस प्रोजक्ट की मदत से हम जान सकते है। अगर पेड मर रहा हो, उसके अंदर जो सेंसर रहते है, वो हमें अलर्ट देता है। इस प्रोजेक्ट मे जो मॉईश्चर सेंसर रहता है, वो हमे बिठाना पडता है। एल ई डी स्क्रीन के अंदर ऑक्सीजन लेवल, मॉईश्चर लेवल और टेंपरेचर हम देख सकते है। सबसे पहले तो मै आयुक्त साहब का और प्रिंसिपल साहब का आभार मानती हूं की उन्होंने मुझे इतनी बडी संधी दी । अपने भारत शिक्षा मंत्री के साथ मै बात कर पाई और उन्हे मेरा प्रोजेक्ट एक्सप्लेन कर पाई। इन सबका मनसे धन्यवाद।”

“हमारे स्कुल मे माननीय आयुक्त साहब के मार्गदर्शन मे स्मार्ट स्कुल टू बेस्ट स्कुल इस प्रोजेक्ट के अंदर बच्चों को रोबोटीक्स क माध्यम से जो काँपिटीशन हुआ था, वहां हमारे स्कुल की छात्रा अंजली गायकवाड इन्होंने भाग लिया था। और उनकी जो मार्गदर्शक है, वो वामन मॅडम, इन्होंने उनको पुरा गाईड किया। और युरोप खंड के ऑस्ट्रिया देश मे जो आठ दिन का कांपिटीशन हुआ था, जागतिक लेवल पर, वहां हमारी छात्रा ने पुरे देश का प्रतिनिधीत्व किया है। यह हमारे लिये भी प्राऊड फिल की बात है। इसके लिये हमारे कमिशनर साब का तहे दिल से शुक्रगुजार हूं, की उन्होंने ये मनपा के बच्चे जो है हमारे, वो सभी बच्चों के उद्धान के लिय, शिक्षा के लिये इतना सारा प्रयत्न कर रहे है। अपने देश के शिक्षामंत्री है, धर्मेंद्र प्रधान सरजी, इनके सामने हमारे स्कुल की तरफ से एक प्रोजेक्ट सादर कर पाये। और निश्चित रूप से ये हमारे शहर के लिये, हमारे स्कुल के लिये और हमारे देश के लिये बहोत गर्व की बात है।”

Today is the death anniversary of Balaji Baji Rao, often referred to as Nana Saheb I, was the 8th Peshwa of the Maratha Empire. He was appointed as Peshwa in 1740 upon the death of his father, Peshwa Bajirao I.
During his tenure, the Chhatrapati (Maratha Emperor) was a mere figurehead. in which individual chiefs-such as the Holkars, the Scindias and the Bhonsles of Nagpur kingdom-became more powerful. During Balaji Rao’s tenure, the Maratha territory reached its zenith. A large part of this expansion, however, was led by the individual chiefs of the Maratha Empire.
Balaji Bajirao’s administration worked with his cousin Sadashivrao Bhau, introducing new legislative and financial systems in the state.

आज हिन्दी फिल्मों के जाने माने अभिनेता राज बब्बर को जिनका आज जन्मदिन है। बब्बर का जन्म 23 जून 1952 को उत्तर प्रदेश के टूंडला में एक पंजाबी परिवार में हुआ था । उनका परिवार विभाजन के बाद से लंबे समय से फिरोजाबाद जिले के टूंडला में बसा हुआ है। राज बब्बर ने अपनी प्रारंभिक स्कूली शिक्षा मुफीद-ए-आम इंटर कॉलेज, आगरा से की । वे राष्ट्रीय नाट्य विद्यालय की 1975 की कक्षा के पूर्व छात्र हैं और आगरा कॉलेज से स्नातक हैं। तो सुन लेते है राज बब्बर पर फिल्माया गया उन्हीं की फिल्म प्रेमगीत का यह गीत :-
