The 3rd Lavender Festival began at Bhaderwah in Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir yesterday. Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh inaugurated the two-day event. Organised by CSIR Indian Institute of Integrative Medicine (IIIM), Jammu, the festival host an Agri Startup Expo, showcasing innovations in value-added products and technologies related to Lavender. To ensure the safety and comfort of the pilgrims, the Government of Sikkim has made comprehensive arrangements including acclimatisation centres along the route, accommodation, food, medical services, and emergency response systems. Pre-yatra programs in Gangtok will include yoga sessions, morning exercises, and meditation. Briefing sessions by the Department of Tourism will help yatris familiarize themselves with the route and itinerary. सिंहस्थ कुंभ मेला एक हिंदू धार्मिक मेला है जो हर 12 साल में नासिक और उज्जैन में आयोजित होता है। इस मेले में श्रद्धालु गोदावरी नदी और शिप्रा नदी में पवित्र स्नान करते हैं। एक रिपोर्ट
इस साल सिंहस्थ कुंभ मेले की शुरुवात 31 अक्तूबर 2026 को नासिक और त्र्यंबकेश्वर के रामकुंड में ध्वजारोहण के साथ होगी। इस संदर्भ मे महाराष्ट्र के मुख्यमंत्री देवेंद्र फडणवीस की अध्यक्षता में दिनांक 31 मई को एक मीटिंग ली गई जिसमे में सभी 13 अखाड़ों के प्रमुख और दो-दो साधु-महंत मौजूद थे। सिंहस्थ कुंभ मेले के आयोजन संदर्भ मे जानकरी देते हुए मुख्यमंत्री देवेन्द्र फडणवीस ने कहा कि सिंहस्थ कुंभ मेले की शुरुआत 31 अक्तूबर 2026 को नासिक और त्र्यंबकेश्वर के रामकुंड में ध्वजारोहण के साथ होगी। इसके बाद 29 जुलाई 2027 को नासिक में नगर प्रदक्षिणा होगी। इसके बाद ‘पहला अमृत स्नान 2 अगस्त 2027’ को होगा।
‘दूसरा अमृत स्नान 31 अगस्त’, ‘तीसरा और अंतिम स्नान 11 सितंबर को नासिक में और 12 सितंबर को त्र्यंबकेश्वर में’ होगा।
24 जुलाई 2028 को ध्वज उतार दिया जाएगा, जो कि 12 वर्षों में एक बार आयोजित होने वाले सिंहस्थ कुंभ मेले के समापन का प्रतीक होगा। फडणवीस ने कहा की
4,000 करोड़ रुपये की लागत वाले कार्यों की टेंडर जारी किए जा चुके हैं। 2,000 करोड़ रुपये की लागत वाले अन्य कार्यों के टेंडर भी जल्द ही जारी किए जाएंगे। सीवेज शोधन संयंत्र (एसटीपी), गोदावरी नदी की सफाई और ‘साधुग्राम’ के लिए भूमि अधिग्रहण का काम भी प्रगति पर है।”
उन्होंने कहा कि श्रद्धालुओं के लिए सभी आवश्यक सुविधाएं उपलब्ध कराई जाएंगी। कुंभ की शोभायात्राओं का नेतृत्व अखाड़ों, साधुओं और महंतों द्वारा किया जाता है, जबकि राज्य सरकार की भूमिका, सेवा प्रदान करना और सर्वोत्तम सुविधाएं प्रदान करना है।
फडणवीस ने कहा कि सरकार सिंहस्थ कुंभ मेले को यादगार बनाने के लिए हरसंभव प्रयास कर रही है। भगदड़ जैसी स्थिति पैदा न हो इसलिये ‘अमृत स्नान’ की तिथियां घोषित कर दी गई हैं और चूंकि यह आयोजन लंबे समय तक चलेगा, इसलिए श्रद्धालुओं को केवल विशेष दिनों पर ही पहुंचने की जरूरत नहीं है। BHAWANA AKASHWANI PARIKRAMA

Deepak clinched the gold with a 5:0 win over Abdurakhimov Javokhir of Uzbekistan in the 75 kg final while Naman got the better of China’s Han Xuezhen 4:1 in the 90 kg category.

The benchmark domestic equity indices today ended with marginal losses amid weak cues from Asian markets. The 30-share index at the Bombay Stock Exchange, Sensex, dropped 77 points to close nearly flat at 81,374. The National Stock Exchange Nifty-50 slipped 34 points, or 0.14 percent to settle at 24,717. In the global crude oil market, Brent Crude was trading over 3.4 percent up at 64 dollars and 96 cents per barrel, and WTI Crude was also trading over 3.7 percent up at 63 dollars and three cents per barrel, when reports last came in. In the Indian bullion market, 24-karat gold was trading up at 97,210 rupees per 10 grams, and silver 999 fine was also trading up at 98,170 rupees per kilogram, when reports last came in.

Born in Peshawar as the eldest son of Prithviraj Kapoor of the Kapoor family, Raj Kapoor starred in and produced many films for which he received multiple accolades, including three National Film Awards and 11 Filmfare Awards in India. He was inspired by Charlie Chaplin and played characters based on The Tramp in films, such as Awaara (1951), Shree 420 (1955) and Mera Naam Joker (1970). His performance in Awaara was ranked as one of the “Top-Ten Greatest Performances of All Time in World Cinema” by Time magazine in 2005.
राज कपूर हिन्दी सिनेमा जगत् का वह नाम है, जो आठ दशकों तक फ़िल्मी आकाश पर जगमगाता रहा और आने वाले कई दशकों तक भुलाया नहीं जा सकेगा। फ़िल्म अभिनेता, निर्माता, निर्देशक राज कपूर, भारत के साथ साथ तत्कालीन सोवियत संघ और चीन में भी अत्यधिक लोकप्रिय रहे।
राज कपूर के पिता पृथ्वीराज कपूर ने अपने पृथ्वी थियेटर के जरिए पूरे देश का दौरा किया। राज कपूर भी उनके साथ जाते थे और रंगमंच पर काम भी करते थे। राज कपूर ने 1947 में आर. के. फ़िल्म्स एंड स्टूडियो की स्थापना की थी।
आग, नीलकमल, आवारा, श्री 420, जिस देश में गंगा बहती है, जागते रहो, राम तेरी गंगा मैली आदि राज कपूर साहब की कुछ मुख्य फिल्मों के नाम हैं। वह इकलौते ऐसे फिल्मकार माने जाते थे जो आने वाले वक्त की धड़कनें सुन पाते थे। वह महसूस कर पाते थे आने वाले समय में दर्शक किस तरह का सिनेमा देखना पसंद करेंगे। उनकी इसी सोच का नतीजा ‘बॉबी’ और ‘मेरा नाम जोकर’ जैसी फिल्में रहीं।
पुरुस्कारों की बात करें तो राज कपूर साहब को 9 बार फ़िल्मफेयर पुरस्कार के अलावा पद्म भूषण और फिल्मों के सबसे प्रतिष्ठित पुरुस्कार दादा साहब फाल्के पुरस्कार से भी सम्मानित किया गया।

Thomas Hardy (2 June 1840 – 11 January 1928) was an English novelist and poet. A Victorian realist in the tradition of George Eliot, he was influenced both in his novels and in his poetry by Romanticism, including the poetry of William Wordsworth. Regarded as one of the most prolific composers, in a career spanning over forty-nine years, he has composed over 7,000 songs, provided film scores for over 1,000 films and performed in over 20,000 concerts. He is nicknamed “Isaignani” (the musical sage) and is often referred to as “Maestro”, the title conferred to him by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, London.
