The government has officially designated 23rd september as Ayurveda Day. The Ayush Ministry stated that the change notified through a Gazette notification, marks a significant shift from the earlier practice of observing Ayurveda Day on Dhanteras.

Chief of Defence Staff, General Anil Chauhan, along with Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi, Chief of the Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal A P Singh, and Navy Chief, Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi, today called on President Droupadi Murmu to brief her on Operation Sindoor. In a social media post, the President praised the valour and dedication of the Armed Forces, acknowledging their role in making India’s response to terrorism a remarkable success.

India’s Operation Sindoor has been hailed as a decisive military victory by international defence experts, including John Spencer, a prominent U.S. military veteran and head of Urban Warfare Studies at the Modern War Institute in New York.
Referring to the Pahalgam terror attack, Spencer described the campaign as swift and precisely calibrated, and praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s assertive stance against nuclear blackmail, highlighting the message that India will not tolerate such threats and will respond with precision and resolve. He asserted ‘India was not fighting for vengeance. It was fighting for deterrence. And it worked. He added that India’s restraint is not weakness but it is maturity. He further added that It imposed costs, redefined thresholds, and retained escalation dominance.

“The programme ‘Jyoti’, which will be implemented by the local bodies along with the schools in the respective regions . The scheme involves a door-to-door campaign coordinated by local self-governments, teachers, and community workers to identify and support migrant children’s education and welfare .This ambitious programme seeks to enrol all migrant children aged 3 to 6 in anganwadis (early childhood centres) and those aged 6 and above in public schools across the state. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said that this initiative marks a significant step towards cultural and educational integration, reaffirming Kerala’s commitment to inclusive development. Kerala is home to over 35 lakh migrant workers, many of whom live with their families and face significant challenges in accessing education for their children due to frequent relocations, language barriers, and lack of documentation. The Jyothi programme addresses these issues through a multi-pronged approach.It introduces a localised registration system linked with Aadhaar to accurately track migrant children’s schooling status despite seasonal movements.Alongside educational enrolment, the initiative also provides health check-ups, nutritional support, and cultural inclusion activities to empower migrant families and uphold the children’s fundamental right to education and well-being. हिन्दी के प्रसिद्ध साहित्यकारों में से एक जगदीशचन्द्र माथुर का स्मरण कर रहे हैं जिनकी आज पुण्य तिथि है। जगदीशचन्द्र माथुर ने आकाशवाणी में काम करते हुए हिन्दी के विकास में महत्वपूर्ण योगदान किया। भारत में टेलीविज़न की शुरुआत उन्हीं के दौर में वर्ष 1949 में हुई। हिन्दी और भारतीय भाषाओं के तमाम बड़े लेखकों को वे ही रेडियो में लेकर आए थे। सुमित्रानंदन पंत से लेकर रामधारी सिंह ‘दिनकर’ और बालकृष्ण शर्मा ‘नवीन’ जैसे दिग्गज साहित्यकारों के साथ उन्होंने हिंदी के माध्यम से सांस्कृतिक पुनर्जागरण का सूचना संचार तंत्र विकसित और स्थापित किया था। जगदीशचन्द्र माथुर ने 6 वर्ष बिहार शासन में शिक्षा सचिव के रूप में सेवा दी। 1955 से 1962 तक आकाशवाणी- भारत सरकार के महासंचालक के रूप में काम किया। 1971 से भारत सरकार के हिंदी सलाहकार रहे। उनकी प्रमुख कृतियों में शामिल हैं- भोर का तारा, कोणार्क, ओ मेरे सपने, शारदीया, परंपराशील नाट्य, पहला राजा और जिन्होंने जीना जाना।
भारत में पहले टीवी चैनल का शुभारम्भ माथुर साहब के दौर में ही हुआ और उन्होंने ही दूरदर्शन नाम दिया। उन्होंने कहा था, “सरकार किसी भी भाषा से चलाई जाए पर लोकतंत्र हिंदी और भारतीय भाषाओं के बल पर ही चलेगा। “हिंदी ही सेतु का काम करेगी, सूचना और संचार तंत्र के सहारे ही हम अपनी जनता तक पहुँच सकते हैं। जगदीशचंद्र माथुर का निधन 14 मई, 1978 को हुआ।

French physicist He worked in the fields of atomic physics, nuclear physics, and cosmic ray physics. He is famous for being one of the discoverers of the Auger effect, named after him.
Working with cosmic rays, he discovered the concept of cosmic air showers. These air showers result from the collision between a high-energy particle in outer space and the outer layer of the atmosphere. Each collision produces millions of secondary interaction. Today the Pierre Auger Observatory, located in Argentina, is designed to detect ultra-high-energy cosmic rays, and to sponsor research.

महान भाषाविद, प्रख्यात विद्वान्, राजनीतिक नेता तथा भारतीय धरोहर के मनीषी आचार्य रघुवीर की को भी आइए करें नमन। आचार्य रघुवीर महान् कोशकार, शब्दशास्त्री तथा भारतीय संस्कृति के उन्नायक थे। आचार्य रघुवीर ने कोशों की रचना कर राष्ट्रभाषा हिंदी का शब्द भण्डार समृद्ध किया। सन् 1946 में संविधान सभा का गठन होने पर 24 अप्रैल, 1948 को डॉ. रघुवीर मध्य प्रदेश और बरार क्षेत्र से उसके सदस्य चुने गये। डॉ. रघुवीर को भारत की संविधान सभा में शायद सबसे युगान्तरकारी व्यक्ति माना जाता था। सन् 1950 में उन्होंने संविधान का पहला खण्ड हिंदी में प्रस्तुत किया, जिसे उन्होंने संविधान सभा को प्रस्तुत किया था।

मृणाल सेन (14 मई, 1923 – 30 दिसम्बर 2018, कोलकाता )
आइए अब बाद करते हैं प्रसिद्ध निर्माता निर्देशक मृणाल सेन की। बंगाली, उड़िया, तेलुगु और हिंदी फ़िल्मों में समान रूप से सक्रिय रहे मृणाल सेन भारत में समानांतार सिनेमा आंदोलन के अग्रणी माने जाते हैं। मृणाल सेन का जन्म पूर्वी बंगाल में 14 मई, 1923 को हुआ। कलकत्ता से भौतिकशास्त्र में पढ़ाई पूरी करने के बाद उन्होंने मेडिकल रिप्रेंजेंटेटिव, पत्रकारिता और साउंड रिकॉर्डिंग सरीखे कई काम किये। फ़िल्मों में जीवन के यथार्थ को रचने से जुड़े और पढ़ने के शौकीन मृणाल सेन ने फ़िल्मों के बारे में गहराई से अध्ययन किया और सिनेमा पर कई पुस्तकें भी प्रकाशित कीं, जिनमें शामिल हैं- ‘न्यूज ऑन सिनेमा’ (1977) तथा ‘सिनेमा, आधुनिकता’ (1992)
The Government of India honored him with the Padma Bhushan, and the Government of France honored him with the Ordre des Arts et des Lettres, while Russian Government honored him with the Order of Friendship. Sen was also awarded the Dadasaheb Phalke Award, the highest award for filmmakers in India.
