India launched Operation Sindoor in the early hours of May 7, 2025, targeting nine terror-linked sites across Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK). The strikes were a joint effort by the Indian Army, Navy, and Air Force, lasting 25 minutes from 1:05 AM to 1:30 AM two weeks after the horrific Pahalgam terror attack. Indian Armed forces targeted terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir from where terrorist attacks were planned and directed against India.
Briefing the media about Operation Sindoor’, Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri said the investigation into the Pahalgam terrorist attack has exposed the links of Pakistan with terrorists.

Leaders cutting across party lines have lauded Operation Sindoor conducted by the Indian Armed Forces. In a social media post, Union Home Minister Amit Shah said, Operation Sindoor is Bharat’s response to the brutal killing of the country’s innocent brothers in Pahalgam. He said, the Modi government is resolved to give a befitting response to any attack on India and its people. Mr Shah said, India remains firmly committed to eradicating terrorism from its roots. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh also lauded the Indian Armed Forces. External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar said, the world must show zero tolerance for terrorism. BJP President JP Nadda said, India is both capable and determined to uproot terrorism from its roots. Information and Broadcasting Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw also applauded the retaliatory action.

In the wake of Operation Sindoor, several domestic flights have been cancelled. In its advisory, Air India informed that the flights to and from Jammu, Srinagar, Leh, Jodhpur, Amritsar, Bhuj, Jamnagar, Chandigarh and Rajkot have been cancelled till the 10th of this month. Meanwhile, Indigo has also cancelled flights to and from Srinagar, Jammu, Amritsar, Leh, Chandigarh, Dharamshala, Bikaner, and Jodhpur for today.

तीन दिवसीय दुधवा महोत्सव न सिर्फ प्रदेश की सांस्कृतिक विविधता और जैविक समृद्धि का उत्सव होगा, बल्कि यह पर्यटकों को प्रकृति से जुड़ने और थारू संस्कृति को करीब से जानने का मौका भी देगा। प्रमुख सचिव पर्यटन मुकेश मेश्राम ने बताया कि मुख्यमंत्री योगी आदित्यनाथ की मंशा के अनुरूप प्रदेश को बहुआयामी पर्यटन गंतव्य के रूप में स्थापित करने के लिए नवंबर में तीन दिवसीय महोत्सव-25 का आयोजन किया जाएगा। इसमें 2,000 से अधिक पर्यटक शामिल होंगे। महोत्सव का केंद्र सांस्कृतिक धरोहर, प्राकृतिक दृश्य, ग्रामीण पर्यटन, थारू जनजाति की विरासत, उनका खानपान, हस्तशिल्प, औषधीय ज्ञान और जीवनशैली होगा। इस दौरान पर्यटक कैम्पिंग की सुविधा का लाभ भी उठा सकेंगे। इसके लिए तीन श्रेणियों में 200 से अधिक टेंट्स स्थापित किये जाएंगे। वहीं स्थानीय थारू परिवारों के साथ होमस्टे की भी सुविधा दी जाएगी, जिससे पर्यटक ग्रामीण जीवन का वास्तविक अनुभव प्राप्त 0कर सकेंगे। साथ ही पर्यटक वन्यजीव सफारी का भी लुत्फ ले सकेंगे। इस दौरान गाइडेड टूर के साथ दुधवा के जैव विविधता को देखने का अवसर मिलेगा। इतना ही नहीं महोत्सव में देश की जानी मानी हस्तियां शास्त्रीय, लोक और ग्लोबल बीट्स पर परफॉर्मेंस देंगी। इसके साथ ही यह महोत्सव स्थानीय हस्तशिल्प और कलाकारों को मंच देने का माध्यम भी बनेगा। परिक्रमा के लिए ओम अवस्थी, आकाशवाणी समाचार लखनऊ।

हिंदी सिनेमा के जाने-माने संगीतकार प्रेम धवन की आज पुण्यतिथि है। उन्होंने अपने करियर में कई शानदार गीतों का दिया, जिसमें ‘सरफरोशी की तमन्ना अब हमारे दिल में हैं’ और ‘ए वतन, ए वतन’ जैसे गाने शामिल है।
साल 1946 में प्रेम धवन ने फिल्म ‘धरती के लाल’ से एक गीतकार के रूप में शुरुआत की। इसके अलावा उन्होंने ‘आराम’ , ‘तराना’ , ‘आसमान’ , ‘शोला और शबनम’ , ‘काबुलीवाला’ , ‘एक फूल दो माली’ और ‘पूरब और पश्चिम’ जैसी कई फिल्मों के लिए गीत लिखे । प्रेम धवन ने ‘शहीद’ के लिए संगीत भी तैयार किया।
प्रेम धवन ने एक गीतकार और संगीतकार के अलावा दो फिल्मों में अभिनय भी किया। उन्होंने ‘लाजवाब’ (1950) और ‘गूंज उठी शहनाई’ (1959) में अभिनय किया। यही नहीं प्रेम ने सात फिल्मों के लिए कोरियोग्राफर के रूप में भी काम किया। हालांकि इसमें उन्हें ज्यादा सफलता नहीं मिली। उन्होंने ‘वक्त’, ‘धूल का फूल’, ‘दो फूल’, ‘सहारा’ और ‘नया दौर’ जैसी फिल्मों में बतौर कोरियोग्राफर काम किया था।
Prem Dhawan (1923–2001) was an Indian lyricist, music composer, choreographer and actor of Bollywood known for his patriotic songs, especially for the lyrics and compositions for the 1965 Manoj Kumar starrer, Shaheed. He was a winner of the National Film Award for Best Lyrics in 1971 and was honoured by the Government of India in 1970 with Padma Shri, the fourth highest Indian civilian award.
