आज विश्व हिंदी दिवस है। हर साल 10 जनवरी को ये दिन हिंदी भाषा के प्रचार-प्रसार और इसके अंतरराष्ट्रीय महत्व को रेखांकित करने के लिए मनाया जाता है। इसका उद्देश्य हिंदी को वैश्विक स्तर पर स्थापित करना और अधिक से अधिक लोगों को हिंदी भाषा और इसकी सांस्कृतिक विरासत से जोड़ना है।

Hindi is the third most spoken language in the world after Mandarin Chinese and English. A few reports suggest there are over 600 million Hindi speakers worldwide. World Hindi Day, also known as Vishwa Hindi Diwas, aims to raise awareness about the language, promote its use, and celebrate the contributions of scholars and writers in this language.

 

विश्व हिंदी दिवस प्रतिवर्ष 10 जनवरी को मनाया जाता है, जिसका उद्देश्य वैश्विक स्तर पर हिंदी भाषा के प्रचार-प्रसार को बढ़ावा देना और इसे अंतरराष्ट्रीय भाषा के रूप में प्रस्तुत करना है। इस दिन, विशेषकर विदेशों में स्थित भारतीय दूतावासों में हिंदी के प्रति जागरूकता बढ़ाने के लिए विभिन्न कार्यक्रमों का आयोजन किया जाता है।

 

पहली बार 10 जनवरी 1975 को भारत नागपुर में पहला विश्व हिंदी सम्मेलन आयोजित किया गया था। इस सम्मेलन में हिंदी भाषा को वैश्विक स्तर पर मान्यता दिलाने और इसे संयुक्त राष्ट्र की आधिकारिक भाषाओं में शामिल करने के प्रयासों की शुरुआत हुई। उस सम्मेलन में लगभग 30 देशों को 122 प्रतिनिधि शामिल हुए थे। इसके बाद यूरोपीय देश नॉर्वे में भारतीय दूतावास में पहला विश्व हिंदी दिवस मनाया गया।

वर्ष 2006 में भारत के तत्कालीन प्रधानमंत्री डॉ. मनमोहन सिंह ने 10 जनवरी को “विश्व हिंदी दिवस” के रूप में घोषित किया। इसी के बाद से हर साल विश्व भर में 10 जनवरी के दिन विश्व हिंदी दिवस मनाया जाने लगा।

विश्व हिंदी दिवस मनाने का मुख्य उद्देश्य विश्वभर में हिंदी भाषा के प्रति जागरूकता पैदा करना, हिंदी के प्रति लगाव बढ़ाना और इसे एक अंतरराष्ट्रीय भाषा के रूप में स्थापित करना है। इस अवसर पर विभिन्न देशों में स्थित भारतीय दूतावासों द्वारा हिंदी कविता, निबंध प्रतियोगिताएं, व्याख्यान और सांस्कृतिक कार्यक्रमों का आयोजन किया जाता है, जिससे हिंदी भाषा और भारतीय संस्कृति का प्रसार हो सके। हिंदी सिर्फ एक भाषा नहीं, बल्कि भारतीय संस्कृति, परंपराओं और जीवन मूल्यों का परिचायक है। इस दिन के माध्यम से हिंदी भाषा और उससे जुड़ी भारतीय संस्कृति का विश्व में प्रसार होता है। यह दिन भारतीयों को अपनी भाषा पर गर्व करने और इसके महत्व को समझने का अवसर प्रदान करता है। हिंदी दिवस हमें हमारी भाषाई और सांस्कृतिक धरोहर को सहेजने और प्रोत्साहित करने की प्रेरणा देता है।

In a historic step towards promoting Hindi education in Sri Lanka, the country’s first certificate course in Hindi through open and distance learning was launched today at the first ever Bharat Sri Lankan Hindi Sammelan held at Colombo. The unveiling of the course curriculum was done by Sri Lanka’s Deputy Minister for Higher Education, Dr. Madhura Senevirathne and High Commissioner of India to Sri Lanka, Santosh Jha.

The Bharat Sri Lanka Hindi sammelan featured panel discussions on several aspects of Hindi Language including Hindi literature, education and usage in Sri Lanka. The Sammelan saw over 400 scholars, teachers, and students from India, Sri Lanka and Nepal participating. A Kavi Sammelan featuring Sri Lanka’s Hindi poets was also organised as a part of the event.
Speaking at the event High Commissioner Jha thanked the Open University of Sri Lanka for starting the certificate course which will be a breakthrough in popularising Hindi in the neighbourhood.

Deputy Minister, Dr. Senevirathne added that efforts will be made to further enhance learning of Hindi language in Sri Lanka’s universities while emphasising that Hindi has been a communication bridge. Certificates were also given away to the prize winners for the competitions conducted by the High Commission.

 UP-KUMBHVANI

Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath launched the Kumbhvani channel of Akashvani dedicated to Mahakumbh 2025 in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh today.
कार्यक्रम के दौरान उत्तर प्रदेश के मुख्यमंत्री द्वारा कुम्भ मंगल धुन का भी शुभारम्भ किया गया।

Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister expressed confidence that Kumbhvani will not only reach new heights of popularity but also extend the spirit of Mahakumbh to remote villages where many people, despite their desire, cannot physically attend the event. He said, Prasar Bharati has beautifully captured the essence of Mahakumbh through Kumbhvani.

Yogi Adityanath said, Mahakumbh is beyond caste, creed and discrimination and spreads the message of unity.

हिमाचल प्रदेश में ऐसे धार्मिक पर्व और उत्सव हैं जिन्हें यहां के लोग सदियों से बड़ी श्रद्धा व उत्साह के साथ मना रहे हैं। शिमला जिला के रोहड़ू उपमंडल के दलगांव की स्पैल घाटी में 40 वर्षों के बाद आयोजित किया गया धार्मिक अनुष्ठान भुंडा महायज्ञ भी इनमें से एक हैं।

  इस महायज्ञ में देवता बौंद्रा व देवता महेश्वर भी अपनी पालकियों में सवार होकर स्थानीय देवता बकरालू के मंदिर पहुंचते हैं। चार दिन तक बकरालू देवता के प्रांगण में पूर्जा अर्चना की जाती है। पिछले सप्ताह आयोजित किए गए इस भुंडा महायज्ञ में विशेष रस्म के तहत स्वयं तैयार की गई लकड़ी की काठी पर बैठकर फिसलते हुए 69 वर्षीय सूरत राम ने लगभग छह इंच मोटी 400 से 500 मीटर लंबी दिव्य रस्सी पर पहाड़ी के एक छोर से दूसरे छोर तक सुरक्षित पहुँचने का साहसिक कार्य किया। इस दौरान दलगांव में ढोल-नगाड़ों की धुनों व नाटियों के साथ वातावरण भक्तिमय बना रहा। इस रस्म में किसी तरह की अनहोनी से बचाव के लिए प्रशासन द्वारा पुख्ता प्रबंध किये गए थे। स्थानीय लोगों का कहना है कि भुंडा महायज्ञ की उत्पत्ति भगवान परशुराम से जुड़ी हुई मानी जाती है और यह यज्ञ बुशहर रियासत के राजाओं की सांस्कृतिक विरासत का हिस्सा है। इस यज्ञ में दी जाने

वाली आहुति को ‘बेड़ा’ कहा जाता है और यह न केवल एक धार्मिक अनुष्ठान है बल्कि परिवार की धार्मिक आस्थाओं व परंपराओं का भी प्रतीक है।

रोहड़ू उपमंडल की स्पैल घाटी के लोगों का मानना है कि इस भुंडा महायज्ञ के आयोजन से क्षेत्र में सुख समृद्धि आती है।

The prestigious Z Morh Tunnel which will connect Srinagar to Ladakh region via under construction Zojila Tunnel, through Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district, is slated to be inaugurated in near future. This will also significantly reduce the travel time between Srinagar and Leh. The tunnel will ensure that the entire stretch of Srinagar-Kargil- Leh road is accessible to vehicles throughout the year. The work on the prestigious Z-Morh tunnel project began in May 2015 and was completed last year. A report from our Correspondent in Srinagar:

The Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to personally inaugurate the Z Morh Tunnel on 13th January. In case of bad weather , the PM will virtually dedicate the tunnel to the people of the country. Talking to PARIKRAMA, Executive Director of National Highways and Infrastructure Development Corporation Ltd, Nirman Kishan outlined the features and its significance:

In near future, the tunnel will increase socio economic development throughout the region including Kargil and Leh districts. This will boost up tourism in Sonamarg which has major tourist attraction of Thajiwas Glacier and adventurous activity like whitewater rafting on the Sindh River. Army Day is celebrated on January 15 in recognition of Lieutenant General Kodandera M Cariappa taking over as the first Commander in Chief of the Indian Army from British on January 15, 1949.To mark the occasion, the Karnataka and Kerala Sub area Commandant is organising Know Your Army Mela in Bengaluru tomorrow.

“The Karnataka and Kerala Sub Area Commanding office in Bengaluru is organising Know your Army mela in Bengaluru tomorrow for a day as a precursor to the Army Day celebration to be held in Pune on January 15th. The Mela is open to the public without any entry fees. This is an outreach programme of the army to bridge the gap between army and countrymen and also to create awareness about the activities, arms and armaments. There are kiosks that will display the progress and growth of Indian armed forces, their rich legacy and contributions in safeguarding our motherland. The state of the art military equipment and weaponry will be on display. The Indian army pipe band will treat the visitors to some of the melodious and stirring performances. The motorcycle display team Tornadoes will perform on this occasion and there will also be horse riding. There will also be helicopters flying past and martial art displays by the army soldiers. There will also be a counter informing about the opportunities to enrol in the army and don uniform. The veterans can redress their grievances at the mela tomorrow. The Veeranaries who lost their son or  husband in service will be special invitees on this occasion. गिरिजाकुमार माथुर

 

हिंदी के सुप्रसिद्ध कवि गिरिजाकुमार माथुर की आज पुण्यतिथि है। वे नाटककार और समालोचक भी थे। मशहूर गीत ‘We shall overcome’ का हिंदी वर्ज़न ‘हम होंगे कामयाब’ उनका ही लिखा हुआ है। 22 अगस्त 1919 को मध्य प्रदेश के अशोक नगर में उनका जन्म हुआ था। कविता का बीज उनमें उनके पिता देवीचरण माथुर से पड़ा। उनके प्रमुख काव्य-संग्रहों में ‘मंजीर’, ‘नाश और निर्माण’, ‘मैं वक़्त के हूँ सामने’, ‘छाया मत छूना मन’ आदि शामिल हैं। ‘मै वक़्त के हूँ सामने’ के लिए उन्हें साहित्य अकादमी पुरस्कार तथा व्यास सम्मान प्रदान किया गया। उन्हें शलाका सम्मान से भी पुरस्कृत किया गया। 1943 में अज्ञेय द्वारा संपादित ‘तार सप्तक’ में भी उन्हें शामिल किया गया था।
लंबे समय तक आकाशवाणी और दूरदर्शन से जुड़े रहे। कई महत्वपूर्ण पदों पर कार्य किया। विविध भारती की संकल्पना में उनकी महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका थी। इसके अलावा उन्होंने विदेश में हिंदी भाषा का प्रचार-प्रसार किया। 1994 में आज ही के दिन उनका देहांत हो गया।

Harry Sinclair Lewis passed away on this day in 1951. He was an American novelist, short-story writer, and playwright. In 1930, he became the first author from the United States (and the first from the Americas) to receive the Nobel Prize in Literature, which was awarded “for his vigorous and graphic art of description and his ability to create, with wit and humour, new types of characters.” Lewis wrote six popular novels: Main
Street (1920), Babbitt (1922), Arrowsmith (1925), Elmer Gantry (1927), Dodsworth (1929), and It Can’t Happen Here (1935).

येसुदास

 

आज जन्मदिन है एक ऐसे गायक का जिन्होंने आठ बार सर्वश्रेष्ठ गायक के लिए राष्ट्रीय फिल्म पुरस्कार जीता है। पहली बार जीता था 1972  में और आठवीं बार जीता 2017 में। गायकी के पचास साल के सफ़र में वह 50 हज़ार से ज़्यादा गाने गा चुके हैं।

कट्टासेरी जोसेफ़ येसुदास…..वो जादुई (रूहानी) आवाज़ जिसे हम येसुदास के नाम से पहचानते हैं। फ़िल्मों में गाए उनके गीतों ने उन्हें हर दिल अज़ीज़ बनाया तो शास्त्रीय गायन ने उनकी जड़ों को मज़बूत किया। ‘कर्नाटक संगीत’ में वे पारंगत हैं। मलयालम, तेलुगू, हिन्दी, संस्कृत जैसी कई भारतीय भाषाओं के साथ ही रूसी और अरबी भाषा के गीतों को भी अपनी सुरीली आवाज़ से सजाया। भाषा उनकी राह में कभी रुकावट नहीं बन सकी। बताते हैं कि मध्य पूर्व के देशों में जब वे शोज़ करते थे तो कर्नाटक शैली में अरबी गीतों को गाते थे। 1975 में उन्हें पद्मश्री, 2002 में पद्मभूषण और 2017 में पद्मविभूषण सम्मान मिला।

रविन्द्र जैन जो फ़िल्म चितचोर के संगीत निर्देशक थे, उन्होंने एक interview में कहा था कि “अगर उन्हें आँखें मिलेंगी तो वे सबसे पहले येसुदास को देखना चाहेंगे।

Yesudas won the National Award for the Best Male Playback Singer eight times (the highest of any person), the Filmfare Awards South five times, and the State Award for the Best Playback Singer forty-three times, including awards given by the state governments of Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, and West Bengal. He was awarded the Padma Shri in 1975, the Padma Bhushanin 2002, and the Padma Vibhushan (second- highest civilian award) in 2017 by the Government of India for his contributions towards the arts. In 2005, he was honoured with the J. C. Daniel Award, Kerala government’s highest honour for contributions to Malayalam cinema. In 2011 Yesudas was honoured with the CNN-IBN outstanding achievement award for his contributions in the music field. Let’s listen to his hit track “Aarariraro” from the album “Raam”.

बासु चटर्जी

 

आज जयंती है मशहूर फ़िल्म निर्देशक बासु चटर्जी की। ‘रजनीगंधा’, ‘छोटी सी बात’, ‘चितचोर’, ‘बातों बातों में’, ‘खट्टा-मीठा’, ‘शौकीन’, ‘चमेली की शादी’, ‘एक रुका हुआ फ़ैसला’……ऐसी प्यारी फ़िल्में बनानेवाले बासु चटर्जी पहले एक कार्टूनिस्ट हुआ करते थे। फ़िल्मों में शुरुआत की बतौर सहायक निर्देशक फ़िल्म ‘तीसरी क़सम’ से। निर्देशक के तौर पर पहली फ़िल्म थी 1969 में आई ‘सारा आकाश’। अस्सी और नब्बे के दशक में दूरदर्शन के लिए उन्होंने रजनी, दर्पण, काकाजी कहिन, ब्योमकेश बख्शी जैसे धारावाहिक भी बनाए।
सत्तर के दशक में जब हिंदी फ़िल्मों में angry young man का दौर चल रहा था तब उन्होंने आम आदमी को अपना हीरो बनाया और उनकी कहानियाँ भी हमारी-आपकी यानी मध्यम वर्ग की ज़िंदगी की कहानियाँ थीं। इंसान के मन की कई तहों को आसानी से खोलकर उसे स्क्रीन पर कहने का हुनर उनके पास था।

इसके साथ ही उनकी फ़िल्मों का जो संगीत था वो भी लाजवाब था। आज भी हम लोग उन गीतों को सुनते हैं।’ये जीवन है’, ‘जब दीप जले आना’ ‘रिमझिम गिरे सावन’, ‘रजनीगंधा फूल तुम्हारे’, ‘का करूँ सजनी’, ‘उठे सबके क़दम’, ‘कहाँ तक ये मन को अँधेरे छलेंगे’, ‘थोड़ा है थोड़े की ज़रूरत है’।

4 जून, 2020 को उनका देहांत हो गया।

Hrithik Roshan

 

Hrithik Roshan was born on this day. He is an actor who works in Hindi cinema. He has portrayed a variety of characters and is known for his dancing skills. Roshan has frequently collaborated with his father, Rakesh Roshan. He made brief appearances as a child actor in several films in the 1980s and later worked as an assistant director on four of his father’s films. His first leading role was in the box-office success Kaho Naa… Pyaar Hai (2000), for which he received several awards. The 2003 science fiction film Koi… Mil Gaya, for which Roshan won two Filmfare Awards, was a turning point in his film career; he later starred as the titular superhero in its sequels, Krrish (2006) and Krrish 3 (2013), among many other films.
