World Public Transport Day, observed every year on November 10, shines a spotlight on the importance of sustainable, accessible and efficient transportation systems for all. This day encourages us to embrace public transport, raise awareness about the dangers of rising traffic and push for fuel conservation. This year’s theme, ‘Connecting Communities, Reducing Emissions,’ highlights how public transport not only encourages social connections but also plays a key role in cutting down the environmental impact of private vehicles.

लगातार बढ़ रहे प्रदूषण के चलते अब दुनियाभर की सरकारें लोगों से प्राइवेट कार या बाइक का इस्तेमाल नहीं करने को कह रही हैं. लगातार शहरों में बढ़ रही गाड़ियों की संख्या, जाम और प्रदूषण सिरदर्द बन गया है. ऐसे में लोग पब्लिक ट्रांसपोर्ट में रूचि बढ़ाए, कई देशों ने पब्लिक ट्रांसपोर्ट फ्री कर दिया है. लक्समबर्ग दुनिया का पहला ऐसा देश है जहां 2020 से पब्लिक ट्रांसपोर्ट में यात्रा करने के लिए किराया नहीं देना पड़ता. माल्टा ने 2022 में फ्री पब्लिक परिवहन सेवाएं देने की शुरुआत की. स्पेन में ट्रेन से यात्रा करना फ्री है. इसी तरह फिनलैंड, बुल्गारिया और ऑस्ट्रेलिया के पर्थ में पब्लिक ट्रांसपोर्ट सेवाएं मुफ्त हैं.  

World Public Transport Day was born out of the growing need for sustainable transportation solutions in response to urbanisation and rising environmental concerns. As cities expanded and car usage surged, issues like traffic congestion, air pollution and resource depletion became more apparent. The significance of World Public Transport Day lies in its focus on addressing several global challenges through improved public transport systems. It also highlights the key benefits of public transport, including reduced greenhouse gas emissions, improved air quality, less traffic congestion, and better access to urban areas for all.

सार्वजनिक परिवहन में चलने से सेहत भी दुरुस्त रहती है. आज लोगों को कार या बाइक से चलने की आदत हो गई है. घर के पास बाजार जाने के लिए भी निजी वाहन इस्तेमाल करते हैं. ऐसे में अगर लोग सार्वजनिक वाहन से चलेंगे तो उनकी वॉक होती रहेगी. वह एक्टिव रहेंगे और उन्हें अलग से वर्कआउट के लिए समय निकालने के भी जरूरत नहीं होगी.

शांति और विकास के लिए विश्व विज्ञान दिवस हर साल 10 नवंबर को मनाया जाता है। विश्व विज्ञान दिवस का प्रस्ताव पहली बार 1999 में हंगरी के बुडापेस्ट में आयोजित विश्व विज्ञान सम्मेलन के दौरान रखा गया था। यूनेस्को और अंतर्राष्ट्री य विज्ञान परिषद द्वारा आयोजित इस सम्मेलन में इस बात पर चर्चा की गई कि विज्ञान समाज पर किस प्रकार प्रभाव डालता है और समाज के लिये अधिक उपयोगी हो सकता है। इसी उद्देश्य से विज्ञान की अहमियत को सामने लाना और विज्ञान से जुड़े मुद्दों पर आम लोगों की बहस को बढ़ावा देकर इस दिन के ज़रिए, विज्ञान को समाज एवं व्यक्ति से और ज्यादा करीबी से जोड़ा गया है।

Of course, the World Science Day for Peace and Development aims to make sure that students are aware of the latest developments in science. It also underscores the role scientists play in broadening our understanding and making this society more sustainable.

The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (Unesco) encourages people to join in celebrating World Science Day 2024 by organising multiple activities throughout the day.

The theme chosen for this year, 2024, is “Why Science Matters: Engaging Minds and Empowering Futures,” highlighting the role of science as a key to unlocking solutions for some global issues and supporting sustainable development.

यह दिन हमारे दैनिक जीवन में विज्ञान के महत्व और उसकी प्रासंगिकता को रेखांकित करते हुए युग की समस्याओं एवं चुनौतियों का समाधान करता है। यह दिन हमें याद दिलाता है कि कैसे विज्ञान जलवायु परिवर्तन, स्वास्थ्य संबंधी मुद्दों और प्राकृतिक आपदाओं जैसी वैश्विक समस्याओं को हल करने में मदद करता है। यह युवाओं को विज्ञान का पता लगाने और दुनिया कैसे काम करती है, इस बारे में जिज्ञासा विकसित करने के लिए भी प्रोत्साहित करता है। जागरूकता बढ़ाकर, विश्व विज्ञान दिवस लोगों को समाज पर वैज्ञानिक अनुसंधान और नवाचार के सकारात्मक प्रभाव की सराहना करने के लिए एक साथ लाता है। लेकिन अब इस दिवस के साथ अध्यात्म को भी जोड़ा जाना चाहिए।

क्षेत्रीय संवाददाता

अब किसानों को आधार आईडी की तरह 11 अंकों की किसान आईडी भी मिलेगी। केंद्र सरकार और गुजरात सरकार के संयुक्त प्रयास से शुरू की गई एग्री स्टेक योजना के तहत किसान रजिस्ट्री के माध्यम से किसानों को यह आईडी दी जाएगी। किसान पंजीकरण का यह कार्य 15 अक्टूबर से शुरू किया गया है। एक रिपोर्टे –

कच्छ के जिला कृषि अधिकारी किरण सिंह वाघेला ने बताया की कच्छ में भी किसान रजिस्ट्री का काम जोरो शोरों से चल रहा है. किसानों में इसके लिए बड़े पैमाने पर  जागरूकता देखी जा सकती है. सभी किसानों को 31 मार्च 2025 तक इस किसान रजिस्ट्री के तहत अनिवार्य रूप से पंजीकरण कराने के लिए कहा गया है।

उल्लेखनीय है कि इस पंजीकरण के जरिए किसानों को अपनी जमीन के स्वामित्व की सारी जानकारी प्राप्त करना और कृषि एवं ऋण संबंधी सभी लाभ प्राप्त करना आसान हो जाएगा.
किसान रजिस्ट्री के माध्यम से जमीन के सर्वेक्षण नंबर से आधार कार्ड को जोड़ा जाएगा और सरकार द्वारा 11 अंकों का एक यूनिक आईडी नंबर दिया जाएगा। जो किसान के तौर पर एक डिजिटल पहचान होगी.

इस नंबर के माध्यम से भूमि विवरण, फसल विवरण आदि की जांच की जा सकती है। साथ ही फसलों के बाजार मूल्य का भी पता चल सकेगा। इसके अलावा कृषि, बागवानी, पशुपालन योजनाओं की जानकारी भी आसानी से प्राप्त की जा सकेगी और इन योजनाओं के लिए पंजीकरण करना भी आसान होगा। इस रजिस्ट्री के माध्यम से  पीएम किसान योजना, I-Khedut, PMFBY, किसान क्रेडिट कार्ड जैसी केंद्र और राज्य सरकार योजनाओं को लिंक किया जाएगा। परिक्रमा के लिए भुज कच्छ से अशरफ नथवाणी

However, the State Government is making concerted efforts in controlling pollution by way of checking vehicles on the roads everyday and spreading awareness by various means. With the aim of spreading awareness about pollution, a 34-year-old Aizawl boy has recently completed travelling more than 17 thousand kilometers.

Meet Vanlalawmzuala Varte, popularly known as Lza, who took cycling since 2013. Deeply concerned with Climate Change and Global Warming, Lza started his All India Cycling Tour on January 25 and returned to Aizawl on November fifth, after riding across 28 states and 5 Union Territories. Speaking to Akashvani, the resilient Lza advocated for a more sustainable way of life and fostering greater sense of environmental responsibility among all sections of the society. He says

Prominent Indian musicians Ricky Kej and Anoushka Shankar have earned Grammy nominations for the 67th Grammy Awards. Ricky Kej, a three-time Grammy winner, received his fourth Grammy nomination for his album Break of Dawn in the Best New Age, Ambient, or Chant Album category. Anoushka Shankar, renowned sitarist and composer, was also nominated in the same category for her album Chapter II: How Dark It Is Before Dawn, a reflection of her distinctive fusion of traditional and contemporary sounds. Other nominees in this category are “Warriors of Light” by Radhika Vekaria and “Triveni” by entrepreneur and musician Chandrika Tandon. The Grammy Awards’ recognition of Indian artists like Ricky Kej, Anoushka Shankar, and Varijashree Venugopal speaks to the growing appreciation of Indian music and musicians in the international arena. पांच दिवसीय 73वीं अखिल भारतीय पुलिस एथलेटिक्स क्लस्टर चैम्पियनशिप 2024-25 नई दिल्ली के जवाहरलाल नेहरू स्टेडियम में आयोजित की जा रही है। दिल्ली के उपराज्यपाल विनय कुमार सक्सेना ने आज प्रतियोगिता का उद्घाटन किया –

The Championship is being organized by the India Police Sports Control Board and around 1100 players from 25 states, four Union Territories, and 10 Central Armed Police Forces are participating in various events like Javelin throw, Shotput, relay race, and steeplechase among others. The championship aims to encourage physical fitness and athletics excellence among police officials. Athletics events are being conducted at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium and the cycling events are hosted at the National Institute of Disaster Management, Sector- 29, Rohini. All the teamsaccompanied by their captains as flag bearers paid respect to the Delhi LG present on the occasion. Talking to Akashvani News, several Athletes from different states spoke about their preparation and expectations to perform better.

विजयदान देथा

आज हम याद कर रहे हैं लोक कथाओं एवं कहावतों का अद्भुत संकलन करने वाले पद्मश्री विजयदान देथा को। Also known as Bijji, was a noted Indian writer of Rajasthani literature. Hewas a recipient of several awards including the Padma Shri and the Sahitya Academy Award. Detha has more than 800 short stories to his credit, which have been translated into English another language. With Komal Kothari, he founded Rupayan Sansthan, an institute that documents Rajasthani folklore, art, and music. Many of his stories and novels have been adapted for the stage and the screen: adaptations include, Habib Tanvir and Shyam Benegal’s Charandas Chor (1975), Prakash Jha’s Parinati (1986), Amol Palekar’s Paheli (2005).   

राजस्थान साहित्य अकादमी ने उन्‍हें वर्ष 1972-73 में विशिष्ट साहित्यकार के रूप में सम्मानित किया। दुविधा’ पर आधारित हिंदी फिल्म ‘पहेली’ बनी यह उनकी किसी रचना पर बनी अंतिम फिल्म है।

मनमोहन महापात्र

आज हम याद कर रहे हैं  उड़िया फ़िल्मों के प्रसिद्ध फ़िल्म निर्माता-निर्देशक मनमोहन महापात्र को। उड़िया सिनेमा को अन्तर्राष्ट्रीय स्तर पर पहुंचाने में उनका योगदान अतुलनीय है। 30वें ‘राज्य चलचित्र पुरस्कार’ में मनमोहन महापात्र को उनकी फिल्म ‘भिजा माटी र स्वर्ग’ के लिए श्रेष्ठ निदेशक सम्मान से सम्मानित किया गया था। उन्होंने पुणे में फिल्म एंड टेलीविजन इंस्टीट्यूट में फिल्म निर्माण का अध्ययन किया। सन 1975 में मनमोहन महापात्र ने अपनी पहली लघु फिल्म ‘एंटी-मेमोरियर्स’ बनाई। 1976 में उनकी पहली फिल्म ‘सीता रति’ ने उन्हें ओडिया में सर्वश्रेष्ठ फीचर फिल्म के लिए राष्ट्रीय फिल्म पुरस्कार प्राप्त हुआ. मनमोहन महापात्र ने बिट्स और मोहरे सहित कुछ हिंदी फिल्मों का निर्देशन भी किया। अनुभवी फिल्म निर्माता मनमोहन महापात्र ने ‘वॉयस ऑफ साइलेंस’ और ‘कोणार्क: द सन टेम्पल’ नामक वृत्तचित्रों का निर्देशन भी किया। मनमोहन महापात्र ने अपनी फिल्मों ‘सीता रति’, ‘मझि पाछा’, ‘निसिधा स्वप्ना’, ‘क्लांता अपर्णा’, ‘निरबा झाड़ा’, ‘भीना समाया’ के लिए लगातार आठ राष्ट्रीय पुरस्कार जीते थे।  

Manmohan Mahapatra is the recipient of India’s highly prestigious award Padma Shri 2020 for his work in the field of art.

Ashutosh Rana

Today we also wish a very happy birthday of veteran theatre actor, Ashutosh Ramnarayan Neekhra, known professionally as Ashutosh Rana, is an Indian actor, producer, author and television personality. He has worked in Marathi, Telugu, Kannada, Tamil, and Hindi films along with working in various Indian television shows. He is known for his portrayal of negative roles. Hehas received several awards including a Filmfare OTT Award and two Filmfare Awards. Besides his acting career, he is an author and philanthropist. Some books written by him include ‘Maun Muskaan Ki Maar’ and ‘Ramrajya’.  

इन्‍ह‍ें फिल्‍म दुश्‍मन और संघर्ष के लिए वर्ष 1999 और 200 में लगातार दो बार फिल्मफ़ेयर का सर्वश्रेष्ठ खलनायक पुरस्कार मिला।
