The Bengaluru Municipal Corporation has joined hands with NGOs to work out ideas for a BITE FREE LOCALITIES in Bengaluru. The plan is to reduce dog bites and the incidents of dogs attacking humans. More from our Correspondent:
The Bruhat Mahanagara Palike in Bengaluru is working with NGOs to understand animal behaviours and accept them the way nature has created them to strike ecological balance. Apart from animal birth control and vaccination measures this new initiative by the Municipal Corporation will help create an atmosphere of coexistence. It has decided to celebrate a festival of dogs on October 17 involving the NGOs, Resident Welfare Associations and animal caretakers. The motive is to create awareness about the nature of dogs by sharing stories of love and bonding with street dogs in different parts of the city. On the same day on October 17th a new programme will be launched where the pourakarmikas or municipality workers will start feeding street dogs by bringing leftovers from hotels in the area. The Municipal Corporation has invited citizen volunteers to come forward and take part in all these initiatives. बुराई पर अच्छाई और असत्य पर सत्य की जीत के पर्व दशहरा के अवसर पर शिमला के जाखू मंदिर सहित प्रदेश के विभिन्न स्थानों पर रावण, कुंभकरण व मेघनाद के पुतलों का दहन किया जाएगा। इस बीच प्रदेश के कुल्लू में मनाए जाने वाले सात दिवसीय अंतरराष्ट्रीय दशहरा उत्सव का आगाज कल से हो रहा है। 1660 से मनाए जा रहे इस उत्सव में देवी-देवताओं की समृद्ध संस्कृति के दर्शन लोगों को एक साथ ढालपुर मैदान में होते हैं। कुल्लू का दशहरा पर्व, परंपरा, रीति रिवाज और ऐतिहासिक दृष्टि से बहुत महत्व रखता है। जब पूरे भारत में विजयादशमी की समाप्ति होती है उस दिन से कुल्लू की घाटी में इस उत्सव का रंग और भी अधिक बढ़ने लगता है। कुल्लू में विजयदशमी के पर्व मनाने की परंपरा राजा जगत सिंह के समय से मानी जाती है। मान्यता है कि कुल्लू के राजा जगत सिंह को रोग से मुक्ति देने के लिए भगवान श्री राम अयोध्या से कुल्लू आए थे। दशहरे के एक दिन बाद शुरू होने वाले इस उत्सव में जिला प्रशासन ने इस बार 332 देवी-देवताओं को दशहरा उत्सव में भाग लेने के लिए निमंत्रण पत्र भेजे हैं। 25 देशों के सांस्कृतिक दल दशहरा उत्सव के दौरान जहां अपनी प्रस्तुतियां देंगे, वहीं विभिन्न खेल प्रतियोगिताओं का भी आयोजन किया जाएगा। अंतरराष्ट्रीय दशहरा उत्सव में माता हिडिंबा, देवता बिजली महादेव, माता भेखली, जमदग्नि ऋषि सहित कुछ प्रमुख देवी देवता हैं, जिनके बिना दशहरा उत्सव संपन्न नहीं किया जा सकता है। माता हिडिंबा के राजमहल में आने के बाद दशहरा उत्सव की तैयारी शुरू की जाती है। इसके अलावा दिन भर यहां देवी देवता भी भगवान रघुनाथ के दर्शनों के लिए पहुंचते हैं. शाम के समय ढालपुर मैदान में भगवान रघुनाथ की रथ यात्रा आयोजित की जाती है। भगवान रघुनाथ सात दिनों तक ढालपुर के अस्थाई शिविर में विराजमान रहते हैं और सातवें दिन लंका दहन के साथ में वापस अपने मंदिर की ओर लौट जाते हैं। ढालपुर मैदान में पहले दिन दशहरा उत्सव में देवी-देवताओं का भव्य मिलन देखने को मिलता है और बड़ी संख्या में लोग उनके दर्शनों को आते हैं लेकिन अब दशहरा पर्व पर धीरे-धीरे व्यापार भी होने लगा है और सांस्कृतिक कार्यक्रमों का आयोजन किया जाता है। अंतरराष्ट्रीय दशहरा उत्सव में देश भर से व्यापारी विभिन्न तरह का सामान बेचने के लिए आते हैं। लालचंद प्रार्थी कला केंद्र में भी 7 दिनों तक सांस्कृतिक कार्यक्रमों का आयोजन किया जाता है। जिसमें देश-विदेश के कलाकार अपनी संस्कृति का प्रदर्शन करते हैं। परिक्रमा के लिए आकाशवाणी शिमला से, प्रभा शर्मा।

Maha Navami, the 9th day of the Navratri is being celebrated across Jammu division today amid religious fervour and gaiety. The Maha Navami marks the end of the nine-day-long Navratri festival and fasts. It is also the symbolic of Goddess Durga’s victory over the demon Mahishasura. During the Navratri, devotees paid obeisance at Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine nested in Trikuta Hills along with various other temples and shrines located across Jammu division including historic Bawe Wali Mata temple in Jammu district. There is a huge rush of devotees on the bank of river Tawi along with the Ghats of Ranbir canal and other canals besides river Chenab at Akhnoor where large numbers of devotees are immersing Sakh in a traditional way.
Maha Navami is the ninth and the final day of the Navratri Festival, a nine-day Hindu celebration dedicated to worshipping the nine forms of Goddess Durga. Each day of Navratri holds unique significance, but Maha Navami is considered particularly auspicious as it marks the day before the grand celebration of Dussehra. The 9 day long deeply revered Shat Chandi Maha Yagya organised by Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board (SMVDSB) during Shardiya Navratra for the universal peace and prosperity is being concluded today on a grand note with “Purna Ahuthi” on the auspicious occasion of Maha Navami. Worth to mention that more than 3.25 Lakh pilgrims paid obeisance at the revered Shrine of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi during the auspicious Shardiya Navratri. Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board (SMVDSB) has been providing free pony, battery car service and assistance in darshans to Divyang pilgrims during Navratri. Elaborate decorations with exquisite fresh flowers of varied varieties brought from various parts of the country and abroad, traditional motifs and ornate lighting captivated the hearts of devotees who thronged to seek the blessings of Mata Vaishno Devi ji during these Navratras. The Shrine Board also made arrangements for free food for the pilgrims at Tarakote Marg, Prasad Kendra at Sanji Chaat and Bhairon Ji. For the ease and comfort of pilgrims, facilities like battery car, passenger ropeway and helicopter services were available through both online and offline modes. Other special features were bhajan and devotional performances by the renowned artists of the country besides budding students of SMVD Gurukul during morning and evening Atka Aarti during these Navratras. While the essence of Navratri remains the same across India, the cultural practices in Jammu have their own flair. Special pujas, cultural events, and local fairs make the celebrations here distinct. Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, yesterday paid obeisance at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine and while extending his greetings and best wishes to the people, he said that Maha Navmi represents the triumph of good over evil and marks the hope of a bright future. जी हाँ हम बात कर रहें हैं निदा फाजली की जिनका पूरा नाम mukatidaa हसन निदा फाजली था. 12 अक्तूबर 1938 को दिल्ली में इनका जन्म हुआ. काम के सिलसिले में 1946 में मुंबई आय. मुशायरों में लोकप्रियता हासिल हो ही रही थी, पत्र-पत्रिकाओं में लिखना-पढ़ना जारी था, फिल्म रजिया सुल्तान के दौरान गीतकार जां निसार अख्तर का निधन हो गया, फिल्म के निर्देशक कमाल अमरोही ने निदा को कुछ गीत लिखने का मौका दिया और बस निदा अपने नाम को सार्थक कर गए। निदा मतलब स्वर या आवाज होता है, उसके बाद एक से बढ़कर एक गीत निदा ने हिन्दी सिनेमा को दिए जो आज भी श्रोताओं को मंत्र मुग्ध करते हैं।
