कॉटन या सूती के कपड़े हमारे वार्डरोब में सबसे आम परिधानों में से एक है। कॉटन के कपड़े बहुत ही आरामदायक, टिकाऊ होते है। सूती कपड़े दुनिया भर में सबसे ज्यादा इस्तेमाल किए जाने वाले कपड़ों में से एक है। कॉटन के प्रति बढ़ावा देने के लिए विश्व कपास दिवस हर साल 7 अक्टूबर को मनाया जाता है।
इसका उद्देश्य कपास उत्पादन से जुड़ी चुनौतियों को सामने लाना, प्रोडक्शन की नई तकनीकों को डेवलप करना और इसे बढ़ावा देना है। भारत में तो ज्यादातर लोग कपास से बनाए जाने वाले कपड़े ही पहनते हैं। जो आरामदायक होने के साथ ही सांस लेने योग्य और टिकाऊ भी होते है। और यहाँ के Climate conditions के हिसाब से भी काफी उपयुक्त हैँ।
Cotton is one of the most common fabrics in our wardrobes. It is comfortable, hypoallergenic, breathable and durable. But cotton represents so much more than just a commodity. This natural fabric is a life-changing product worldwide that sustains 32 million growers (almost half of them women) and benefits over 100 million families across 80 countries in 5 continents.
इसका मतलब यह है कि, किसी भी सूती कपड़े के पीछे, उसकी व्यापार श्रृंखला का अनुसरण करते हुए, एक व्यक्तिगत कहानी होती है। यह सच है कि विकसित अर्थव्यवस्थाओं के लिए कपास वास्तव में महत्वपूर्ण है, लेकिन कम विकसित और विकासशील देशों के लिए, यह एक सुरक्षा-जाल है।
कपास महिलाओं सहित कई ग्रामीण छोटे धारकों और मजदूरों के लिए आजीविका और आय का एक प्रमुख स्रोत है, जो दुनिया के सबसे गरीब ग्रामीण क्षेत्रों को रोजगार और आय प्रदान करता है। कॉटन उद्योग महज कपड़े बनाने का ही काम नहीं करता बल्कि कई लोगों के रोजगार का भी बहुत बड़ा जरिया है।
On the UN World Cotton Day, the United Nations wants to raise visibility of the cotton sector and awareness of the critical role that it plays in economic development, international trade and poverty alleviation. The observance also aims to highlight the importance of sustained, inclusive and sustainable economic growth, full and productive employment and decent work for all.
To enhance the global image of Indian cotton and promote the “vocal for local” initiative, the Ministry of Textiles launched the Kasturi Cotton Bharat programme which is a pioneering effort in traceability, certification and branding of Indian cotton. This initiative is a collaboration between the Central government, trade bodies, and industry.
आज सात अक्टूबर विश्व कपास दिन है। पूरे देश में कपास उत्पादन में गुजरात दूसरे नंबर पर है। राज्य के कृषिमंत्री राघवजी पटेल ने बताया है की 26 लाख 8 हजार हेक्टर खेती योग्य क्षेत्र के साथ कपास राज्य के अर्थतंत्र में महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभा रहा है।
“सफेद सोना कहे जानेवाले कपास सें गुजरात का बरसों पुराना नाता है। वर्ष 1960 में जब गुजरात राज्य की स्थापना हुई तब से अब तक राज्य कपास उत्पादकता में 459 किलो प्रति हैक्टर का ईजाफा हुआ है। गुजरात द्वारा विकसित कपास की संकर चार किस्मों के बाद पूरे देश में संकर कपास युग की शुरुआत हुई, जिससे भारत की कपास उत्पादकता में भारी वृद्धि देखने को मिली। भारत ने वर्ष 2021 में रिकॉर्ड ब्रेक 10 लाख 787 मिलियन डॉलर की किंमत के कपास की निकास दर्ज करवाई थी। देश के वर्तमान प्रधानमंत्री और गुजरात के पूर्व मुख्यमंत्री नरेन्द्र मोदी के मार्गदर्शन में पिछले दो दशको में कपास उत्पादन क्षेत्र में गुजरात का चित्र बदल गया है। वर्ष 2001-02 में जब गुजरात में कपास का खेती योग्य क्षेत्र जो 17.40 लाख हैक्टर का था, वो अब 26 लाख 8 हजार तक पहुंच गया है। राज्य सरकार की अनेक योजनाऐ एवमं अन्य प्रयासो सें आने वाले समय में गुजरात पूरे देश में कपास उत्पादन का केन्द्र बनेगा और देश के कुल कपास उत्पादन में भी गुजरात का योगदान सब से ज्यादा रहेगा एसा विश्वास राज्य सरकार नें व्यक्त किया है।परिक्रमा के लिए अहमदाबाद से में प्रवेश अडिएचा”
सरकार विभिन्न योजनाओं और पहलों के माध्यम से कपड़ा क्षेत्र को सक्रिय रूप से बढ़ावा दे रही है। सरकार की भूमिका कच्चे माल और उत्पादन के अन्य कारकों तक पहुंच को सक्षम करने, लागत प्रतिस्पर्धी बढ़त के साथ उच्च दक्षता प्राप्त करने में विनिर्माण सेट-अप का समर्थन करने और बाजारों तक पहुंच की सुविधा प्रदान करने तक फैली हुई है।

World Habitat Day is being observed globally today. The day serves as a powerful reminder that everyone is entitled to a decent and safe place to live. On this day, governments, communities, and individuals are urged to work toward improving housing conditions, creating secure environments, and making neighborhoods safer.
This year’s theme is “Engaging Youth to Create a Better Urban Future,” focusing on the opportunities and challenges associated with rapid urban growth. The aim is to encourage the younger generation to participate in planning their current and future environments.
रोटी, कपड़ा और मकान मनुष्य की मूलभूत जरूरत की चीजें हैं. लेकिन इस धरती पर रहने वाली एक बड़ी आबादी के पास रहने के लिए घर नहीं है.लोग रोजगार, शिक्षा और अच्छे जीवन जीने के लिए गांव से शहरों और कस्बों की तरफ पलायन करते हैं. लेकिन वहां जाने के बाद उनके सामने सबसे बड़ी समस्या वहां रुकने के लिए आवास की हो जाती है.
यह दिन इस बात की याद दिलाता है कि हर किसी को रहने के लिए एक सुरक्षित और उचित जगह मिलनी चाहिए। विश्व पर्यावास दिवस लोगों, समुदायों और सरकारों को आवास की स्थिति में सुधार, पड़ोस को सुरक्षित बनाने और सुरक्षित वातावरण को बढ़ावा देने की दिशा में काम करने के लिए प्रोत्साहित करता है।
World Habitat Day was first celebrated in 1985 when the United Nations General Assembly designated the first Monday in October for this observance.

The mega seven thousand Kilometer long “Vayu Veer Vijeta” car rally will be flagged off from Thoise in Ladakh to mark the 92nd anniversary of the Indian Air Force (IAF) tomorrow. The car rally will reach Tawang in Arunachal Pradesh on 29th of this month where it will culminate its journey. Earlier, on 1st of this month, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh had given a warm send-off to the rally from the National War Memorial, New Delhi. Union Minister of State for Road Transport and Highways, Harsh Malhotra has arrived in Thoise to drive the Jimny cars to Leh in order to support and boost morale of Air Warriors. Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari has also extended his complete support to the car rally. The rally holds a special significance for both the Indian Air Force and the Indian Armed Forces. We have special report from our correspondent:
“The Vayu Veer Vijeta car rally is a testament to the incredible journey and impression left by the Indian Air Force – IAF over its 92 year old history. The rally will be flagged off from Thoise in Ladakh, one of the world’s highest altitude air force stations at 3 thousand 68 metres above mean sea level. The 22-day long car rally will finally culminate at Tawang in Arunachal Pradesh on 29th October. 52 air warriors, including women, will be behind the wheels during this mega car rally, which will also witness the participation of former Air Force Chiefs in different legs. The air warriors will make 16 halts including Leh, Kargil, Srinagar, Jammu, Chandigarh, Dehradun, Agra, Gorakhpur, Darbhanga and Guwahati, that will comprise interactions with students in various colleges and universities. The National Highways and Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited – NHIDCl officers will also be participating in the launch at Leh with an interesting tagline – “Yes we make highways for fighter jets too”. Uttarakhand War Memorial veterans, a major partner of the rally, are driving up to Tawang to extend their support. The aim of the rally is to raise awareness among the people about the glorious history of IAF; the deeds of valour of the air warriors in different wars and rescue ops; and attract the youth to serve the motherland. भारतीय राष्ट्रीय राजमार्ग प्राधिकरण द्वारा नागपुर में ऑक्सीजन बर्ड पार्क का उद्घाटन हाल ही में किया गया. आइये जानते है इस विषय पर अधिक जानकारी नम्रता फलके से –
“नागपुर-वर्धा रोड पर जामठा क्लोवर लीफ में ऑक्सीजन बर्ड पार्क स्थापित किया गया है. इस पार्क का उदघाटन 28 सितम्बर को केंद्रीय मंत्री नितिन गडकरी द्वारा किया गया. भारतीय राष्ट्रीय राजमार्ग प्राधिकरण की पहल के तहत नागपुर-हैदराबाद राष्ट्रीय राजमार्ग क्रमांक ४४ (चवालीस) पर इस ऑक्सीजन बर्ड पार्क का निर्माण किया गया है। साडे चौदा करोड़ की लागत पे यह प्रोजेक्ट करीब 20 एकड़ में साकार किया गया है. यहां विशेष रूप से पक्षियों के लिए फलदार वृक्ष लगाये गये हैं। इस पार्क का महत्व केवल प्राणवायु देने वाला क्षेत्र इतना ही नहीं बल्कि यह क्षेत्र विभिन्न प्रजाति के पक्षियों के आश्रय स्थल के रूप में भी उपयोगी साबित होगा। 8,104 प्रकार के पौधों के साथ इस 11 हेक्टेर परिसर में प्राकृतिक झीलों को भी शामिल किया गया है। ‘नागपुर में इस ऑक्सीजन बर्ड पार्क के माध्यम से नागरिकों को पारिस्थितिकी तंत्र और पर्यावरण के महत्व का पता चलेगा ऐसा केंद्रीय सड़क परिवहन और राजमार्ग मंत्री नितिन गडकरी ने कहा है. परिक्रमा के लिए आकाशवाणी नागपूर से मै नम्रता फलके

Most of the communities or states have their own calendar. Likewise, Manipur has the Manipuri Calendar also known as Meitei Calendar, Kangleipak Calendar or Maliyapham Palcha Kumshing Calendar which have 12 months. The months are based on the lunar cycle and each month ends with a new moon. Among these months, Mera month occasionally falls in the month October of Julian and Gregorian Calendar is well known for its different festivals celebrated in the aim of communal harmony and unity. “On the first day of Mera month of Meitei Calendar, the religious festival of Manipur- Mera Hou Chongba is celebrated.dedicating to Lord Sanamahi and Leimarel Sidabi by Meitei and the indigenous tribal communities. This year’s festival was held on the 3rd of October and the Manipur titular King led others in the festival. The theme of the festival is solidarity and fraternity of the ethnic groups of the region. The main location of the festival is the Kangla Palace and Sanamahi Temple located in Imphal where devotees offer fruits, vegetables, rice and others. The devotees also took out a march from the temple to Kangla Palace to collect sacred water from Nungjreng Pukhri in Kangla Palace to offer to the deities at the temple. On the 10th lunar day of Mera month, Manipur celebrates Kwaak Taanba festival. The festival will be held on 13th October this year in which the King of Manipur will release a crow from his custody. The setting free of crow is traditionally performed at the Thangapaat which is Royal Moat in Imphal. The main purpose of the festival is to bring prosperity and good luck in the region. The most important festival in the Mera month of the Meitei Calendar is Mera Hou Chongba. The festival is celebrated every year on 15th lunar day of Mera month which is 17th October this year. It is celebrated jointly by Meitei and all Indigenous tribes of Manipur. On this day, hill people come down to Royal Palace in Imphal and show their cultural dances and other art forms. The day ends with a grand feast held together with Meitei and all indigenous tribes to show oneness of all ethnic groups in the region. On this day, a lamp tied to a tall green bamboo is lighted and installed in the Meitei household who resides in the valley to indicate the well being of Meitei to his elder brother Tangkhul community who lives in the hills. Domestic benchmark indices extended their losses for the sixth consecutive session today, led by sell-off across various sectors. The BSE Sensex plunged over 600 points while the Nifty-50 settled below 24,800.
At close, the Sensex declined by 638 points, to close at 81,050, while the Nifty lost 218 points, to settle at 24,795.
In the Indian bullion market, the 24 Karat Gold was trading at 76,360 rupees for 10 grams, Silver 999 fine, is trading at 92,830 per one kilogram, when reports last came in.

बेगम अख़्तर (जयंती)
आज भारत की प्रसिद्ध ग़ज़ल और ठुमरी गायिका बेगम अख़्तर की जयंती है। बेगम अख़्तर ने फ़ैज़ाबाद में सारंगी के उस्ताद इमान ख़ाँ और अता मोहम्मद खान से संगीत की प्रारंभिक शिक्षा ली। इसके अलावा उन्होंने मोहम्मद ख़ान, अब्दुल वहीद ख़ान से भारतीय शास्त्रीय संगीत सीखा। बेगम अख़्तर ने 1953 में प्रदर्शित फ़िल्म ‘दानापानी’ के गीत ‘ऐ इश्क मुझे और कुछ याद नही’ और 1954 में प्रदर्शित फ़िल्म ‘एहसान’ के गीत ‘हमें दिल में बसा भी लो’ गाकर श्रोताओं को मंत्रमुग्ध किया। उन्हें कला के क्षेत्र में भारत सरकार द्वारा सन 1968 में ‘पद्म श्री’ और सन 1975 में ‘पद्म भूषण’ से सम्मानित किया गया था। बेगम अख़्तर को मल्लिका-ए-ग़ज़ल भी कहा जाता है।
