The Indian Space Research Organisation, ISRO successfully launched its new generation satellite NVS – 02 from Sriharikota in Andhra Pradesh today. Geosynchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle (GSLV-F15)  carrying the NVS-02 lifted off at 6:23 AM this morning. This launch marks a remarkable milestone for ISRO commemorating the 100th launch from Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota.

 

ISRO’s premier rocket GSLV F15 placed the NVS 02 satellite in the precise geosynchronous transfer orbit. Speaking after the successful launch of the mission Dr V Narayanan, Chairman ISRO said…

As part of the Republic Day Celebrations, Beating The Retreat ceremony will be held at Vijay Chowk in New Delhi today. President Droupadi Murmu, Vice-President Jagdeep Dhankhar, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and other Union Ministers will be present on the occasion.

 

This year in the Beating Retreat ceremony a total of 30 performances will captivate the spectators with foot-tapping music of the bands from the Army, Navy, Air Force and Central Armed Police Forces. The ceremony will commence with the iconic ‘Kadam Kadam Badhaye Ja’ tune, followed by enthralling tunes such as Amar Bharati, Indradhanush, Jai Janam Bhumi, and Veer Siachen by the Pipes and Drums band. Delhi Police has made elaborate traffic arrangements in view of the Beating The Retreat Ceremony. As per the Traffic advisory, Vijay Chowk will remain closed for general traffic from 2 PM to 9:30 PM today. No traffic will be allowed on Raisina Road from Krishi Bhawan and Sunehri Masjid roundabouts towards Vijay Chowk.

The Election Commission has issued a notice to Aam Aadmi Party convenor Arvind Kejriwal in connection with the complaints filed by the BJP and the Congress over his allegations of poisioning Yamuna river during an interview. The Commission has asked Mr. Kejriwal to furnish his response on the complaints with evidentiary support by 8 PM today. The Commission also said that it perused the report of Delhi Jal Board which does not mention about any poisioning in Yamuna. The Poll Panel said that as regards the allegations of poisoning, it is expected that there must be a factual foundation. The Commission noted that such allegations have serious ramifications of creating enmity between the regional groups, and residents of the neighbouring States, and threat of a law-and-order situation due to actual or perceived shortage or non-availability of water during this time of the year.

As Delhi gears up for the upcoming assembly elections on the 5th of next month, leaders from all major political parties have intensified their efforts to woo voters. The second Amrit Sanan of Maha Kumbh 2025 is underway on the occasion of Mauni Amavasya in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh. Mauni Amavasya holds significant religious importance, and the Amrit Snan on this day is considered highly auspicious. Now we go over live to our correspondent Aman yadav who is at Triveni Sangam in Prayagraj.

 

A large number of devotees are taking holy dip at Sangam in Prayagraj on the occasion of Mauni Amavasya. Our correspondent talked to some of the devotees who are very excited after taking Amrit Snan on Mauni Amavasya.

In Sikkim, Soreng district has started producing organic fish becoming the country’s first organic fisheries cluster. Union Animal Husbandry and Fisheries minister Rajiv Ranjan Singh launched this initiative recently. Organic fisheries cluster focuses on ecologically healthy fish farming system avoiding the use of harmful chemicals, antibiotics and pesticides.

 

District Collector of Soreng Dhiraj Subedi said, one village of the district has been adopted for organic fishing initially on pilot basis. He said that, this initiative would help to boost the income of the farmers and also to provide chemical and pesticide free organic fish. The District Collector further stated that to achieve success in this process, district administration along with other stakeholders is planning to dig more ponds and emphasise on adequate water harvesting system. India has rejected a Canadian report claiming alleged activities related to purported interference in Canada. The Ministry of External Affairs dismissed the allegations, asserting that it is in fact Canada that has been consistently interfering in India’s internal affairs. The MEA further pointed out that such interference has also created an environment for illegal migration and organized criminal activities. Rejecting the report’s insinuations about India, the MEA said that the support system enabling illegal migration will not be further countenanced.
