The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested an assistant commissioner and an inspector of the Central Goods and Services Tax and Central Excise unit in Belapur in Navi Mumbai yesterday for allegedly demanding and accepting a bribe of 1.5 lakh rupees. According to release issued by CBI, a partner in a transport firm had received a show cause notice related to service tax and the accused assistant commissioner sought a bribe of 6 lakh rupees from him to settle the matter. The official said that after negotiations, the bribe amount was brought down to 1.50 lakh rupees.

Union Road Transport and Highways Ministry has approved 188 crore 95 lakhs rupees for Ujjain in Madhya Pradesh. This amount will be used to develop, operate and maintain the existing ropeway between Ujjain Junction Railway Station and Mahakaleshwar Temple.”The proposed ropeway will help in movement, especially during the peak pilgrimage season and reduce the travel time to 7 minutes. The ropeway will facilitate 64 thousand pilgrims every day. Union Minister Nitin Gadkari in a social media post said that it will promote tourism and provide eco-friendly means of transportation while creating new employment opportunities. Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav expressed his gratitude towards Mr Gadkari. He said that this is a commendable decision and will give impetus to the development of Ujjain along with the convenience of the devotees of Shri Mahakal.

केन्द्र सरकार ने देश में ई-वाहनों के निर्माण को प्रोत्साहन देने के लिए ई-वाहन नीति तैयार की है। इससे कच्चे तेल के आयात, व्यापार घाटे और वायु प्रदूषण को कम करने में भी सहायता मिलेगी।
इस नीति के अंतर्गत कंपनियों के लिए न्यूनतम निवेश की सीमा चार हजार एक सौ 50 करोड रुपये रखी गई है। कंपनियों के पास विनिर्माण केंद्र तैयार करने और ई-वाहन का व्यावसायिक उत्पादन करने के लिए तीन वर्ष का समय होगा। इस योजना के अंतर्गत प्रतिवर्ष आठ हजार से ज्यादा ई-वाहनों का आयात करने की अनुमति नहीं होगी।

Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike or Bengaluru Municipal Corporation has launched “KERE MITRAS” which in Kannada means the friends of Lakes. It is an initiative to involve citizens for monitoring day to day maintenance activities of the lakes in the city. The enrollment of “KERE MITRAS” was done online and a total of 744 citizens registered for many lakes in the city. The monitoring and recording activities include cleaning of pathways, inlet and outlet cleaning, deweeding in water bodies, maintenance of parks within the lake premises among other things. These selected Mitras will change every three months and others who registered will get their turn.

दिल्ली की एक सत्र अदालत ने कल दिल्ली के मुख्यमंत्री अरविंद केजरीवाल की याचिका खारिज कर दी है। याचिका में मुख्यमंत्री ने दिल्ली आबकारी नीति मामले में एजेंसी के समन की अवहेलना पर प्रवर्तन निदेशालय (ईडी) द्वारा उनके खिलाफ दायर मामले में मजिस्ट्रेट अदालत में कार्यवाही पर रोक लगाने की मांग की थी। राउज़ एवेन्यू कोर्ट के विशेष न्यायाधीश राकेश सयाल ने मजिस्ट्रेट अदालत में कार्यवाही पर रोक लगाने की मांग करने वाली श्री केजरीवाल की याचिका पर आदेश पारित किया। श्री केजरीवाल ने मजिस्ट्रेट अदालत के समक्ष व्यक्तिगत उपस्थिति से छूट भी मांगी थी। सत्र अदालत ने कहा कि दिल्ली के मुख्यमंत्री इस संबंध में मजिस्ट्रेट की अदालत में अर्जी दे सकते हैं।
अतिरिक्त मुख्य मेट्रोपॉलिटन मजिस्ट्रेट (एसीएमएम) दिव्या मल्होत्रा ने प्रवर्तन निदेशालय द्वारा दायर दो अलग-अलग मामलों में श्री केजरीवाल को समन जारी किया था, जिसमें उन्हें 16 मार्च को पेश होने का निर्देश दिया था। अतिरिक्त मुख्य मेट्रोपॉलिटन मजिस्ट्रेट आज इन दोनों मामलों पर विचार करेंगी।

पेट्रोलियम और प्राकृतिक गैस मंत्री हरदीप सिंह पुरी ने कल नई दिल्ली में वैकल्पिक ऑटो ईंधन इथेनॉल 100 लॉन्च किया। इस अवसर पर श्री पुरी ने कहा कि इथेनॉल 100 जैसे हरित ईंधन पर मोदी सरकार ने विशेष ध्यान दिया है। यह देश की आर्थिक वृद्धि को बनाए रखने में महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभाएगा। इस वैकल्पिक ईंधन से ग्रीनहाउस गैसों का कम उत्सर्जन होगा और जलवायु परिवर्तन के प्रभावों को कम करने तथा वायु गुणवत्ता में सुधार करने में मदद मिलेगी।

दिल्ली कैंट स्थित बूटर पंपिंग स्टेशन के सामान्य हेडर लाइन के कल अचानक टूटने से दक्षिणी दिल्ली और पालम क्षेत्र में आज भी पानी की सेवा बाधित रहेगी। एक प्रेस वक्तव्य के माध्यम से दिल्ली जल बोर्ड ने सूचित किया कि बूटर पंपिंग स्टेशन के रख-रखाव कार्यों के दौरान यह खराबी आयी। इसकी वजह से एक हजार पांच सौ मिलीमीटर व्यास वाली दक्षिण दिल्ली लाइन और एक हजार मिलीमीटर व्यास वाली पालम लाइन में शाम के समय में पानी या तो अनुपलब्ध रहेगा या निम्न दबाव में आएगा। जल बोर्ड ने बताया की दिल्ली कैंटोनमेंट, आर के पुरम, वसंत विहार, कटवारिया सराय, सफदरजंग, मुनिरका, जवाहरलाल नेहरू विश्वविद्यालय, मेहरौली, आईआईटी, ग्रीन पार्क, जनकपुरी, ग्रेटर कैलाश, एनडीएमसी क्षेत्र, एम्स, सफदरजंग अस्पताल, पालम कमांड क्षेत्र जलाशय और इसके निकटवर्ती क्षेत्र समेत कई इलाके प्रभावित रहेंगे ।
जल बोर्ड ने लोगों से पर्याप्त मात्रा में पानी के भंडारण करने की सलाह दी है। आपातकालीन स्थिति में जल विभाग के कंट्रोल नंबर-1916 पर फोन कर पानी के टैंकर मंगाए जा सकते हैं।

कटरा से रवाना होने वाली श्री माता वैष्णो देवी कटरा-नई दिल्ली वंदे भारत एक्सप्रेस सोमवार को अपने निर्धारित समय से 5 मिनट पहले प्रस्थान करेगी। उत्तर रेलवे ने एक प्रेस विज्ञप्ति के माध्यम से बताया कि यह रेलगाड़ी अपने निर्धारित समय दोपहर 3 बजे के बदले 2 बजकर 55 मिनट पर प्रस्थान करेगी। उन्होंने बताया कि जम्मू तवी स्टेशन के अलावा यह रेलगाड़ी अपनी पूर्ण यात्रा में निर्धारित समय से चलेगी।

केंद्रीय कपड़ा मंत्री पीयूष गोयल ने कल मुंबई में एक कार्यक्रम में राष्ट्रीय कपड़ा निगम (एनटीसी) की मिलों में काम करने वाले कर्मचारियों का बकाया वेतन जारी किया। इन कर्मचारियों ने कोविड महामारी के दौरान आधे वेतन पर काम किया था।
श्री गोयल ने ट्रांसफरेबल डेवेलपमेंट राइट्स – टी.डी.आर. प्रणाली को समझने और पूरी प्रक्रिया में पारदर्शिता लाने के लिए एन.टी.सी. टीम के प्रयासों पर जोर दिया। उन्होंने कहा कि चुनौतियों के बावजूद, वे टीडीआर बेचने में कामयाब रहे जिससे सरकार एन.सी.टी. कर्मचारियों का दिसंबर 2021 तक का बकाया वेतन देने में सक्षम हो गई।
श्री गोयल ने कर्मचारियों को आश्वस्त किया कि अगस्त 2022 तक के उनके वेतन के बकाए का शेष 50 प्रतिशत भुगतान अगले 30 से 40 दिनों के भीतर हो जाएगा।

अयोध्यासिंह उपाध्याय ‘हरिऔध’ जन्म- 15 अप्रैल, 1865, मृत्यु- 16 मार्च, 1947) अयोध्यासिंह उपाध्याय ‘हरिऔध’ का नाम खड़ी बोली को काव्य भाषा के पद पर प्रतिष्ठित करने वाले कवियों में बहुत आदर से लिया जाता है।
उमंगों भरा दिल किसी का न टूटे
पलट जाएं पासे मगर जुग न फूटे
कभी संग निज संगियों का न छूटे
हमारा चलन घर हमारा न लूटे
सगों से सगे कर न लेवें किनारा
फटे दिल मगर घर न फूटे हमारा।1।
कभी प्रेम के रंग में हम रंगे थे
उसी के अछूते रसों में पगे थे
उसी के लगाए हितों में लगे थे
सभी के हितू थे सभी के सगे थे

उन्नीसवीं शताब्दी के अन्तिम दशक में 1890 ई. के आस-पास अयोध्यासिंह उपाध्याय ने साहित्य सेवा के क्षेत्र में पदार्पण किया। खड़ी बोली के प्रथम महाकाव्यकार हरिऔध जी का सृजनकाल हिन्दी के तीन युगों में विस्तृत है-
भारतेन्दु युग.द्विवेदी युग.छायावादी युग इसीलिये हिन्दी कविता के विकास में ‘हरिऔध’ जी की भूमिका नींव के पत्थर के समान है। उन्होंने संस्कृत छंदों का हिन्दी में सफल प्रयोग किया है। ‘प्रियप्रवास’ की रचना संस्कृत वर्णवृत्त में करके जहाँ ‘हरिऔध’ जी ने खड़ी बोली को पहला महाकाव्य दिया, वहीं आम हिन्दुस्तानी बोलचाल में ‘चोखे चौपदे’, तथा ‘चुभते चौपदे’ रचकर उर्दू जुबान की मुहावरेदारी की शक्ति भी रेखांकित की।

Today is the birth anniversary of Iftikhar Ali Khan Pataudi, was an Indian prince and cricket player.
He was the captain of the India’s national cricket team during its tour of England in 1946. His son Mansoor, known as the Nawab of Pataudi Jr., also later served as captain of the India cricket team.
He also played Test cricket for the England team in 1932 and 1934, making him one of the few cricketers to have played Test cricket for two countries and the only Test cricketer to have played for both India and England. He played in six Tests in all, three as captain of India and three for England.
He was the ruling Nawab of the princely state of Pataudi during the British Raj from 1917 until 1947. After the state was absorbed into independent India, he was granted a privy purse, certain privileges, and the use of the title Nawab of Pataudi by the Government of India, which he retained until his death in 1952.

We are also remembering A K Ramanujan on his birth anniversary today. He was an Indian poet and scholar of Indian literature and linguistics. Ramanujan was also a professor of Linguistics at University of Chicago.
Ramanujan was a poet, scholar, linguist, philologist, folklorist, translator, and playwright. His academic research ranged across five languages: English, Tamil, Kannada, Telugu, and Sanskrit. He published works on both classical and modern variants of this literature and argued strongly for giving local, non-standard dialects their due. Though he wrote widely and in a number of genres, Ramanujan’s poems are remembered as enigmatic works of startling originality, sophistication and moving artistry. He was awarded the Sahitya Akademi Award posthumously in 1999 for The Collected Poems.

मल्हारराव होल्कर जन्म:16 मार्च 1693 ई.- मृत्य: 20 मई 1766 ई.)
मल्हारराव होल्कर इंदौर के होल्कर वंश का प्रवर्तक थे। मल्हार राव विशेष रूप से मध्य भारत में मालवा के पहले मराठा सूबेदार होने के लिये जाना जाते थे। यह होल्कर परिवार के पहले राजकुमार थे, जिन्होंने इंदौर के राज्य पर शासन किया था।
उन्होंने पेशवा बाजीराव प्रथम को कई युद्धों में विजय दिलवाई थी। उनके वंशजों द्वारा शासित राज्य को 1948 ई. में भारतीय गणराज्य में सम्मिलित कर लिया गया था। वे प्रारम्भ में पेशवा बाजीराव प्रथम (1720-1740 ई.) की सेवा में रहे थे। पेशवा बाजीराव प्रथम की मल्हाराव ने काफ़ी दिनों तक सेवा की तथा कई विजय अभियानों में भी भाग लिया था। बाजीराव प्रथम ने उनकी स्वामी भक्ति के फलस्वरूप मध्य भारत में एक बड़ा क्षेत्र उसके शासन में कर दिया गया।

Today is the birth anniversary of Daya Kishan Sapru, an Indian actor famed for a variety of character roles in Hindi cinema, particularly villains, judges and aristocrats in crime thrillers and dramas. His most notable performances were in Bollywood productions of between the late 1950s and early 1970s, including Sahib Bibi Aur Ghulam, Heer Raanjha, Pakeezah, Kala Pani, Dooj Ka Chand, Tere Mere Sapne, Humjoli, Jewel Thief, and Deewar.
Sapru made his Bollywood debut in Chand (1944). By the early 1970s, he had risen to prominence as a villain in crime thrillers. Although he died in 1979, he continued to appear in several films that were released in the 1980s, including Krodhi (1981).
His son Tej Sapru and younger daughter Preeti Sapru are actors in Punjabi and Hindi films. His elder daughter Reema Rakesh Nath is a scriptwriter and director. Let’s listen to few of his dialogues…………
