केरल से राज्यसभा की तीन सीटों के लिए अधिसूचना जारी हो गई है। भारतीय कम्युनिस्ट पार्टी नेता बिनॉय बिस्वाम, मार्क्सवादी कम्युनिस्ट पार्टी नेता एलामारम करीम और के सी-एम पार्टी के नेता जोस के मणि का कार्यकाल पहली जुलाई को समाप्त हो रहा है। महाराष्ट्र से राज्यसभा की एक सीट के उपचुनाव के लिए भी अधिसूचना जारी हो गई है। यह सीट राष्ट्रवादी कांग्रेस पार्टी नेता प्रफुल्ल पटेल के इस्तीफे के कारण रिक्त हुई है। केरल और महाराष्ट्र के लिए नामांकन इस महीने की 13 तारीख तक भरे जा सकते हैं। मतदान 25 जून को कराया जायेगा। इस बीच राज्य सभा के नौ सदस्य हाल ही में हुए आम चुनाव में जीत गये हैं। इनमें असम से सर्बानन्द सोनोवाल और कामख्या प्रसाद तासा, बिहार से विवेक ठाकुर और मीसा भारती, हरियाणा से दीपेन्द्र सिंह हुडा, मध्यप्रदेश से ज्योर्तिादित्य सिंधिया, महाराष्ट्र से पीयूष गोयल, त्रिपुरा से विपल्व कुमार देब और राजस्थान से के0 सी0 वेणुगोपाल शामिल हैं।
Senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has demanded a Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) investigation into the stock market crash of 4th of June. Addressing media at party headquarters in New Delhi yesterday, Mr Gandhi said the retail investors have lost 30 lakh crore rupees due to the market crash.
The Congress leader sought to know why Prime Minister and Home Minister gave specific investment advice to the five crore families investing in the stock market. Meanwhile, BJP refuted the claims made by Congress. Briefing media in New Delhi, senior BJP leader Piyush Goyal alleged that Rahul Gandhi is trying to deceive market investors. Mr. Goyal claimed that people have gained even during the election results day. He further added that foreigners have incurred losses while Indian investors have benefited. He said that when the UPA government was in power 10 years ago, India’s market capital at that time was 67 lakh crore rupees and today the market capital has increased to 415 lakh crore rupees.

The Calcutta High Court has ordered that the central and state government have to jointly work to stop post poll violence in West Bengal. A division bench of Justices Kausik Chanda and Apurba Sinha Ray was hearing a public interest litigation on the issue yesterday. The PIL was filed by an association of lawyers in the court after 11 people have lost their lives in the post poll violence in the state. The court ordered that if the state police failed to stop then central forces can intervene.
Though state government has denied any case of post poll violence, the High Court said that it may order Central forces to stay for next 5 years if post-poll violence is not controlled. The court issued directive that Director General of police have to take complaints through email and that can be channelled to respective police station. Court has ordered that state Police has to list the FIRs registered in this regard in its website.
उधर इंडिया गठबंधन के सहयोगी दलों ने भी आगे की रणनीति तय करने के लिए नई दिल्ली में बैठकें की। यह बैठक कांग्रेस अध्यक्ष मल्लिकार्जुन खरगे के सरकारी आवास पर हुई। इस अवसर पर श्री खरगे ने कहा कि जनादेश प्रधानमंत्री नरेन्द्र मोदी के खिलाफ है। उन्होंने कहा कि यह श्री मोदी के लिए भारी राजनीतिक क्षति और नैतिक हार है।
In Sudan, at least 150 people were killed and 200 injured in an attack by rebel paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) at Wad al-Nour village in the central Al-Jazira state. According to local officials and witnesses, over 40 armed vehicles stormed the village, unleashed heavy weaponry on its inhabitants, killed and injured civilians including children and women. Unicef said 35 children were killed in the attack, with more than 20 others injured. Sudan’s military government has called for international condemnation of the Wad al-Nourah attack. More than 15,000 people are estimated to have been killed since the conflict started in April 2023, across the country.

India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued yellow alert warning for rainfall, thunderstorms and lightning over many parts of country including Central and Southern regions for the next four days. The IMD said, southwest monsoon has further advanced into some more parts of central Arabian Sea, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Telangana, Coastal Andhra Pradesh and most parts of Bay of Bengal. Light to moderate rainfall accompanied by thunderstorm and lightning is expected over Konkan, Goa, Maharashtra, Marathwada, Saurashtra, Kutch, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, Rayalaseema, Telangana and Karnataka during the next four days. Widespread rainfall accompanied with thunderstorms and lightning is also likely over North East region, West Bengal and Sikkim during the same period. Rainfall and thunderstorms are likely at a few places over Northwest India today. The weather department said that similar conditions are also likely to occur over Jammu, Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit, Muzaffarabad, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand for the next two to three days.
ओडिसा में हाथियों की संख्या वर्ष 2017 के मुकाबले इस वर्ष दो हजार 98 हो गई है। इस वर्ष हाथियों की संख्या में 122 की बढोत्तरी हुई है। हाथियों की गणना के लिए राज्यभर में एक हजार 905 गणना इकाइयों में एक हजार दो सौ 14 मचान बनाये गये थे। इस कार्य के लिए पांच हजार 700 से अधिक कर्मियों को लगाया गया था।
On heatwave, IMD said that severe heat wave is likely to prevail over some parts of Uttar Pradesh till Monday. Heat wave conditions are very likely in Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand, Punjab, Haryana, Bihar and Odisha till the next two to three days. Hot and humid weather is likely to prevail over isolated pockets of Bihar, Jharkhand and Gangetic West Bengal.
It further forecast that the conditions are favourable for further advancement of southwest monsoon into some more parts of some parts of south Chhattisgarh, South Odisha and remaining parts of Bay of Bengal during the next 3-4 days.
Meanwhile, IMD has predicted dust storms and thunderstorm for the next two days in Delhi. The maximum temperature in the national capital is likely to hover around 43 degrees Celsius.

In ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, United States defeated former champions Pakistan by five runs in a Super Over after their encounter ended in a tie at Grand Prairie Stadium in Dallas, US yesterday. Electing to field first, newcomers USA restricted Pakistan to 159 for 7 and then matched the score with loss of 3 wickets in stipulated 20 overs. In the Super Over, USA scored 18 for loss of 1 wicket and Pakistan could manage only 13 runs for one. Earlier, Babar Azam scored 44 for Pakistan while Monank Patel contributed 50 runs for USA. Monank Patel was adjudged player of the match.
In another Group match, Scotland defeated Namibia by 5 wickets at Kensington Oval in Bridgetown, Barbados. Chasing victory target of 156, Scotland overhauled the target with 5 wickets in hand and 9 balls to spare. Earlier, Namibia scored 155 for 9 in stipulated 20 overs. The Madras High Court has restrained the Centre from taking a final decision on the classification of certain dog breeds as ferocious and dangerous to human life which could potentially lead to a ban on these breeds across the Country. However Justice Anita Sumanth allowed the Government to gather feedback and objections from stakeholders regarding the classification process. The interim order comes after the Court halted the implementation of a notification issued by the Union Government in March which aimed to prohibit the breeding of specific dog varieties in India. The breeds under scrutiny include Pitbull terrier , tosa inu, American Staffordshire terrie, American Bulldog to name a few. The petitioner urged the Government to restart the entire process by forming a new committee disregarding the earlier notification that had been stayed by the Court.

This event brings together sailors from various units of the Indian Army showcasing their dedication, training and competitive spirit. It also witnesses participants from pan India. सर्वोच्च न्यायालय ने हिमाचल प्रदेश सरकार को पानी की कमी से जूझ रही दिल्ली के लिए 137 क्यूसेक अतिरिक्त पानी छोड़ने का निर्देश दिया है। हिमाचल प्रदेश सरकार ने न्यायमूर्ति पी.के. मिश्रा और न्यायमूर्ति के.वी. विश्वनाथन की अवकाश पीठ से कहा कि उन्हें इस पर कोई आपत्ति नहीं है और वह अपने पास उपलब्ध अतिरिक्त पानी छोड़ने को तैयार हैं।

दिल्ली पुलिस ने कल एक अंतर्राज्यीय ड्रग सिंडिकेट का पर्दाफाश किया है। इनके पास से अन्तर्राष्ट्रीय ब्रांड की प्रतिबंधित कैंसर की दवाएं बरामद की गई है। पुलिस ने इस संबंध में चार लोगों को लालकिला इलाके से गिरफ्तार किया है। आरोपियों के पास से बरामद की गई प्रतिबंधित दवाओं की कीमत डेढ़ करोड़ रुपए से अधिक है। पुलिस ने आरोपियों के पास से मिस्र, तुर्की और सीरिया के पासपोर्ट बरामद किए गए है।

दिल्ली नगर निगम पहली जुलाई से चेक के माध्यम से संपत्ति कर का भुगतान स्वीकार नहीं करेगा। निगम के अनुसार संपत्ति करदाता अब आसानी से यूपीआई, डिमांड ड्राफ्ट, पे ऑर्डर या किसी भी ऑनलाइन भुगतान गेटवे के माध्यम से डिजिटल रूप से संपत्ति कर का भुगतान कर सकते हैं। निगम ने बताया कि डिजिटल भुगतान न केवल समय पर भुगतान और रसीद जारी करना सुनिश्चित करेगा, बल्कि व्यापार करने में आसानी होगी। दिल्ली नगर निगम सभी संपत्ति मालिकों से अपील की है कि वे इस महीने के 30 तारीख से पहले वित्तीय वर्ष 2024-25 के लिए अपने बकाया संपत्ति कर का भुगतान कर सकते है। निगम ने कहा कि कोई भी व्यक्ति एकमुश्त सम्पत्ति कर का भुगतान करके 10 प्रतिशत की छूट प्राप्त कर सकता है। सभी संपत्ति करदाता दिल्ली नगर निगम की वेबसाइट www.mcdonline.nic.in पर लॉग इन कर अपना बकाया संपत्तिकर जमा करवा सकते हैं।

दिल्ली की एक अदालत ने कथित शराब नीति घोटाले में मुख्यमंत्री अरविंद केजरीवाल को अंतरिम जमानत देने से इंकार कर दिया है। राउज एवन्यू अदालत की विशेष न्यायाधीश कावेरी बावेजा ने उन्हें चिकित्सीय जांच के आधार पर सात दिन की अंतरिम जमानत की मांग वाली याचिका खारिज कर दी है। अदालत ने तिहाड जेल के अधिकारियों को निर्देश दिया है कि वे न्यायिक हिरासत के दौरान श्री केजरीवाल की चिकित्सा आवश्यकताओं का पूरा ध्यान रखे। उनकी नियमित जमानत याचिका पर शुक्रवार को सुनवाई होनी है।

महाराष्ट्र के राज्यपाल रमेश बैस ने कल मुंबई के राजभवन में आयोजित एक अलंकरण समारोह में 115 पुलिस अधिकारियों और पुलिस कर्मियों को वीरता के लिए पुलिस पदक, सराहनीय सेवा के लिए राष्ट्रपति पुलिस पदक और सराहनीय सेवा के लिए पुलिस पदक प्रदान किए। 2021 में स्वतंत्रता दिवस और 2022 में गणतंत्र दिवस पर घोषित पुलिस पदक दिए गए। 30 पुलिस अधिकारियों और पुलिस कर्मियों को वीरता के लिए पुलिस पदक से सम्मानित किया गया, जबकि 7 पुलिस अधिकारियों को राष्ट्रपति पुलिस पदक प्रदान किए गए। इस अवसर पर 78 पुलिस अधिकारियों और पुलिस कर्मियों को सराहनीय सेवा के लिए पुलिस पदक दिए गए।

मुंबई के पवई इलाके के जय भीम नगर में अतिक्रमण विरोधी अभियान के दौरान पथराव में पुलिस अधिकारी और मजदूर घायल हो गए। कल सुबह 10.30 बजे बृहमुंबई महानगरपालिका (बीएमसी) प्रशासन और पुलिस की मौजूदगी में अतिक्रमण विरोधी कार्रवाई शुरू की गई। बीएमसी विभाग ने इस इलाके में पहले ही तोड़फोड़ का नोटिस जारी कर दिया था। इस कार्रवाई का स्थानीय लोगों ने विरोध किया। कार्रवाई के दौरान भीड़ जमा हो गई और माहौल तनावपूर्ण हो गया। अचानक पथराव शुरू हो गया।

बीएमसी ने अपने अधिकारियों को गड्ढों से जुड़ी शिकायतों का 24 घंटे के भीतर निपटारा करने का निर्देश दिया है। बीएमसी अधिकारियों ने कल सड़कों से जुड़े प्री-मानसून कार्यों का जायजा लिया। बीएमसी ने इसके लिए सभी मशीनरी और सामग्रियों की उपलब्धता सुनिश्चित करने के भी निर्देश दिए। बीएमसी ने यह सुनिश्चित करने के निर्देश जारी किए कि बारिश के मौसम में गड्ढों के कारण नागरिकों को किसी तरह की असुविधा का सामना न करना पड़े। बीएमसी ने चल रहे सड़क कार्यों को 10 जून तक पूरा करने का निर्देश दिया है।

खबर कोलकाता से –
कलकत्ता उच्च न्यायालय ने कल आदेश दिया है कि पश्चिम बंगाल में चुनाव के बाद होने वाली हिंसा को रोकने के लिए केंद्र और राज्य सरकार को मिलकर काम करना होगा। राज्य में चुनाव के बाद हुई हिंसा में 11 लोगों की मौत के बाद वकीलों के एक संगठन ने अदालत में एक जनहित याचिका दायर की थी। अदालत ने आदेश दिया कि अगर राज्य पुलिस इसे रोकने में विफल रहती है तो केंद्रीय बल हस्तक्षेप कर सकते हैं। हालांकि राज्य सरकार ने चुनाव के बाद हिंसा के किसी भी मामले से इनकार किया है, लेकिन उच्च न्यायालय ने आदेश दिया है कि केंद्रीय बलों को अगले 5 साल तक बंगाल में रहने का आदेश दिया जा सकता है। पुलिस महानिदेशक को ईमेल के ज़रिए शिकायतें लेनी होंगी और उन्हें संबंधित पुलिस स्टेशन तक पहुँचाया जा सकता है। न्यायालय ने आदेश दिया है कि राज्य पुलिस को इस संबंध में दर्ज की गई एफआईआर को अपनी वेबसाइट पर सूचीबद्ध करना होगा।

दिल्ली में धूल भरी आँधी और गर्म हवाएं चलेंगी अधिकतम तापमान 43 डिग्री सेल्सियस और न्यूनतम तापमान 29 डिग्री सेल्सियस के आसपास रहने का अनुमान है।
मुंबई में आंशिक रूप से बादल छाए रहेंगे और मध्यम बारिश के साथ बौछारें पड़ने की संभावना है। न्यूनतम तापमान 29 डिग्री सेल्सियस रिकार्ड किया गया जबकि अधिकतम तापमान 35 डिग्री सेल्सियस रह सकता है।

Alladi Ramakrishnan (9 August 1923 – 7 June 2008) was an Indian physicist and the founder of the Institute of Mathematical Sciences (Matscience) in Chennai. He made contributions to stochastic process, particle physics, algebra of matrices, special theory of relativity and quantum mechanics. Ramakrishnan was born on 9 August 1923 in Madras. His father was the lawyer Sir Alladi Krishnaswami Iyer, who, as a member of the Constituent Assembly, was instrumental in drafting the Constitution of India with other prominent members. He had his early education in P. S. High School, Madras. He graduated from Presidency College, Madras, with B.Sc. (Hons) degree in physics. As a student of the college he had wanted to work under Sir C. V. Raman. When his father consulted Raman, Raman suggested reading Lehrbuch der theoretischen Physik[1] by Georg Joos. Ramakrishnan studied the book and developed an interest in theoretical physics and special relativity in particular.
After completing his studies at Presidency College, Ramakrishnan started working with Homi Bhabha at the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR). At TIFR, Bhabha introduced him to Cascade Theory and Fluctuation Problem of Cosmic Radiation. In August 1949, he left for England to work under M. S. Bartlett at the University of Manchester. Ramakrishnan’s work on Product Densities that he did while at TIFR was good enough work for a PhD. But he stayed in Manchester for two more years to complete his residency requirements. His work on Product Densities appeared in the Proceedings of the Cambridge Philosophical Society.
During the 1950s, he worked on the problem of Fluctuating Density Field, and published a series of eight papers on the subject. During 1957–1958 Ramakrishnan visited the Institute for Advanced Study in Princeton. It was the Institute of Advanced Study that inspired him to start a similar institution in India. Ramakrishnan is noted for his work in quantum mechanics on giving a prescription for transition from Pauli to Dirac matrices. He also published several papers giving simple but insightful geometric derivations for the Lorentz transformations.

ख़्वाजा अहमद अब्बास (जन्म: 7 जून 1914 – मृत्यु: 1 जून 1987) प्रसिद्ध फ़िल्म निर्देशक, पटकथा लेखक और उर्दू लेखक थे। वे उन कुछ गिने चुने लेखकों में से एक थे, जिन्होंने मुहब्बत, शांति और मानवता का पैगाम दिया। एक पत्रकार के रूप में उन्होंने ‘अलीगढ़ ओपिनियन’ शुरू किया। ‘बॉम्बे क्रॉनिकल’ में ये लंबे समय तक बतौर संवाददाता और फ़िल्म समीक्षक रहे। इनका स्तंभ ‘द लास्ट पेज’ सबसे लंबा चलने वाले स्तंभों में गिना जाता है। यह 1941 से 1986 तक चला। अब्बास इप्टा के संस्थापक सदस्य थे। अब्बास साहब ने कम उम्र में ही एक पत्रकार के रूप में अपना कैरियर शुरू कर दिया। उन्होंने ‘अलीगढ़ ओपिनियन’ नाम की देश की पहली छात्र-प्रकाशित पत्रिका शुरू की। कॉलेज के बाद उन्होंने एक जाने-माने समाचार पत्र के लिए काम किया वहीं काम करते हुए उन्होंने ने अपनी पहली पटकथा फिल्म नया संसार के लिए लिखी। बाद में इसी नाम यानी नया संसार से ही उन्होंने अपनी ख़ुद की कंपनी खोल ली जो ‘अनहोनी’ (1952) जैसी सामाजिक प्रासंगिकता की फ़िल्मों का निर्माण करने लगी। अब्बास की फ़िल्म ‘राही’ (1953), मुल्क राज आनंद की एक कहानी पर आधारित थी जिसमें चाय के बागानों में काम करने वाले श्रमिकों की दुर्दशा को दर्शाया गया था। चेतन आनंद के लिए ‘नीचा नगर’ (1946) लिखने से पहले, अब्बास साहब वी. शांताराम के लिए ‘डॉ. कोटनीस की अमर कहानी’ (1946) भी लिख चुके थे। यह फ़िल्म ख़्वाजा साहब की एक कहानी ‘एंड वन डिड नॉट कम बैक’ पर आधारित थी जिसे उन्होंने, डॉ. द्वारकानाथ कोटनीस के जीवन पर लिखा था। ख़्वाजा साहब ने अतिसफल फ़िल्म निर्माता-निर्देशक राजकपूर के साथ एक लम्बा साथ निभाया और ‘आवारा’ (1951), ‘श्री 420’ (1955), ‘जागते रहो’ (1956), ‘मेरा नाम जोकर’ (1972) और ‘बॉबी’ (1973) जैसी उनकी कई सफल फ़िल्में लिखी। उनके अपने जीवन पर बनी फ़िल्म ‘मेरा नाम जोकर’ बॉक्स ऑफ़िस पर उस समय भले ही फ्लॉप हो गई पर आज तक क्लासिक फिल्मों की श्रेणी में गिनी जाती है।
