Russian President Vladimir Putin will visit India in December for an annual summit with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, according to the Kremlin. Kremlin spokesman – Dmitry Peskov confirmed that the visit is scheduled to take place before the New Year. The spokesman added that preparations for the visit are in full swing. This will be the Russian leader’s first visit to India since the start of the Ukraine conflict in early 2022.
Russian President has said he is looking forward to his upcoming visit to India early December and highly awaits meeting with his dear friend and Russia’s trustworthy partner, Prime Minister Modi.
Speaking at the 2025 Valdai Discussion Club meeting in Sochi, President Putin reaffirmed Moscow’s long-standing trust in New Delhi and described Prime Minister Modi as a very reasonable, wise leader, strongly oriented toward the interests of his nation. He praised special relations with India rooted in historical ties dating back to Soviet era. Noting that current trade turnover between the two countries falls short of its true potential, President Putin emphasized the need to build effective, mutually beneficial trade ties.
Beyond trade, President Putin also highlighted the strong coordination between Russia and India on international political issues, noting that both sides regularly align positions and respect each other’s perspectives.
In the field of security and defence, Mr Putin emphasized the deep trust that underpins cooperation, including the joint production of advanced weapons systems – a reflection of the robust and time-tested partnership between the two nations.

A ‘briefing’ meeting of Central Observers which includes General, Police & Expenditure, appointed by ECI for Bihar elections is scheduled to be held in New Delhi. The full Election Commission team led by CEC will visit Bihar tomorrow and the day after to review the election preparedness for Assembly Elections.
The Election Commission has appointed 470 central observers for Bihar assembly polls, bye-elections in eight states.
The observers, comprising 320 Indian Administrative Service (IAS), 60 Indian Police Service (IPS), and 90 officers from the Indian Revenue Service (IRS), Indian Railway Accounts Service (IRAS), and Indian Civil Accounts Service (ICAS), will monitor the electoral process in Bihar and by-elections in constituencies across Jammu & Kashmir, Rajasthan, Jharkhand, Telangana, Punjab, Mizoram, and Odisha.

Chanu lifted a total of 199kg including 84kg snatch + 115kg clean and jerk to secure second place overall. This marked Chanu’s first World Championship since 2022 and her second competition since finishing fourth at the Paris 2024 Olympics. The gold medal went to defending world champion Ri Song-gum from Korea, who lifted a total of 213kg.
At the ongoing World Para Athletics Championships underway in New Delhi, India added two more medals bringing the tally to 4 gold, 5 silver, and 2 bronze. Paralympic champion and India’s flag-bearer, Dharambir Nain, won silver in the men’s F51 club throw with a best attempt of 29.71 meters. Aleksandar Radisic of Serbia took gold. Michelin, the tyre company headquartered in France is positioning India as a strategic pillar in its global value chain. Vitor Silva, President ,India & Middle East, Africa said- the company expects its Indian operations to move beyond catering to the domestic market to becoming a significant supplier of components for its worldwide production network. The tyre maker has expanded its manufacturing footprint in India by starting its production of passenger car radial tyres at its plant located about 50 km north of Chennai. The expansion involves an investment of 686 Crore Rupees and will create over 200 additional jobs. With this move, Michelin will now supply locally produced premium car tyres in India reducing the reliance on imports.

The talk was organised to commemorate the 156th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. Dr Bang and his wife- Dr Rani Bang have founded the Society for Education, Action and Research in Gadchiroli, Maharashtra, which works in the area of rural healthcare and community based health programmes.

Telangana state will soon get four new Kendriya Vidyalayas (KVs), taking the total number of such schools in the state to 39. Union Coal Mines Minister, G Kishan Reddy, announced the sanction of these schools and said the move will expand access to quality primary and secondary education, especially in remote and underserved areas. The new schools will come up at Aspirational District, Bhadradri Kothagudem headquarters, Tribal area, Mulugu district headquarters, Chelgal (चेल्गल) in Jagtial Rural Mandal, and Nagavaram Sivar (नागवरम शिवार) in Wanaparthy district.
Union Coal Mines Minister thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan for supporting educational development in Telangana.He also highlighted that in the last two years, the Centre has sanctioned 832 PM-Shri Schools with an allocation of 400 crore rupees. Additionally, about 2 Thousand crore rupees has been released under the Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan to strengthen the school education system.

Dutta; जन्म- 3 अक्टूबर, 1949, मुम्बई, महाराष्ट्र) हिन्दी फ़िल्मों के मशहूर फ़िल्म निर्माता-निर्देशक के रूप में प्रसिद्ध हैं। भारतीय सिनेमा में जब भी जे. पी. दत्ता का नाम लिया जाता है तो आँखों के सामने ‘बॉर्डर’, ‘एल ओ सी कारगिल’ और ‘उमराव जान’ (2006) जैसी भव्य फ़िल्में आ जाती हैं।

Kadamnbini bose Ganguly and Anandibai Joshi both got their degree in Western medicine in 1886. She was India’s first practicing female doctor in modern medicine. Ganguly was the first woman to gain admission to Calcutta Medical College in 1884, subsequently trained in Scotland, and established a successful medical practice in India.

लक्ष्मी नारायण साहू (अंग्रेज़ी: Laxmi Narayan Sahu, जन्म- 3 अक्टूबर, 1890; बालासौर; मृत्यु- 18 जनवरी, 1963) उड़ीसा के समाजसेवी और सार्वजनिक कार्यकर्ता थे। वह 1947 में ओडिशा विधानसभा के लिए चुने गए। वह भारत की संविधान सभा के सदस्य भी थे। लक्ष्मी नारायण साहू संविधान का मसौदा तैयार करते समय अपनी उग्र और तथ्यात्मक बहस के लिए जाने जाते थे। साहित्य और शिक्षा के क्षेत्र में उनके योगदान के लिए उन्हें वर्ष 1955 में पद्म श्री से सम्मानित किया गया था। ओडिशा के इतिहास पर उनके कार्यों और लेखन के लिए उन्हें ‘इतिहास रत्न’ की उपाधि दी गई थी।

Stephen Ray Vaughan (October 3, 1954 – August 27, 1990), also known abbreviated as SRV, was an American musician, best known as the guitarist and frontman of the blues rock trio Stevie Ray Vaughan and Double Trouble. Although his mainstream career spanned only seven years, he is considered one of the most influential musicians in the history of blues music, and one of the greatest guitarists of all time.
Born and raised in Dallas, Vaughan began playing guitar at age seven, initially inspired by his brother Jimmie. In 1972, he dropped out of high school and moved to Austin, where he began to gain a following after playing gigs on the local club circuit. Vaughan joined forces with Tommy Shannon on bass and Chris Layton on drums as Double Trouble in 1978.
