India’s industrial production growth, measured by the Index of Industrial Production (IIP) stood up at four per cent on an annual basis, in August this year. According to the data released by the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation, among the three major components of IIP, mining sector advanced by six per cent in August. Electricity generation rose 4.1 per cent and manufacturing added 3.8 per cent. The corresponding growth rates of IIP as per use-based classification in August 2025 over August over 2024 stood at 10.6 percent in Infrastructure or Construction Goods. Growth of 5.2 per cent was registered in Primary goods, five per cent in Intermediate goods, 4.4 percent in Capital goods and 3.5 percent in Consumer durables. Meanwhile, Consumer non-durables saw a deceleration of 6.3 per cent.

The Deputy Commissioner of Bangalore Urban District G Jagadeesha has clarified that no ration card will be cancelled based on the data provided by the residents during the ongoing Social and Educational Survey. Speaking to the media persons in Bengaluru , he made it clear that there is no fear of cancelling the ration card based on the survey data. He added that the sole purpose of the survey is to collect social and educational data of backward classes and other communities. The data will be useful to formulate schemes that will address social, educational and economic inequalities across the state. G Jagadeesha also clarified that the participation in the survey is voluntary and there is no compulsion on their part to disclose caste based information.

In Telangana State, the celebrations of Bathukamma Festival, organised by the state Government, has set two new Guinness World Records last evening. The event has been held at the Saroornagar Stadium in Hyderabad. The two world records for its largest Bathukamma floral decoration consists of about seven tonnes of flowers and of 63.11 feet high, 11 feet wide. The second record for the highly synchronised performance by a large number of women, of 13 hundred 54 (1354). The representatives of the Guinness World Records declared the performance as a world record and presented certificates to state Tourism Minister Krishna Rao and Women Development Minister Anasuya Sitakka. Telangana Tourism Development Corporation Managing Director Valluru Kranthi, said that the final count of women who participated was 1354 and it was accepted by the Guinness. The Bathukamma was built by around 300 workers with metal, bamboo, and flowers and the structure took 72 hours to complete.

मध्य रेलवे ने मुंबई डिवीजन के पनवेल-रोहा खंड पर स्वदेशी रूप से विकसित स्वचालित ट्रेन सुरक्षा प्रणाली कवच के लोकोमोटिव परीक्षण पूरे कर लिए हैं, जो रेलवे के 4,000 किलोमीटर रूट नेटवर्क में प्रौद्योगिकी को शुरू करने की दिशा में एक महत्वपूर्ण कदम है। ये परीक्षण 28 सितंबर को सोमात्ने, आप्टा और जीते स्टेशनों के बीच किए गए। इसके साथ ही, मध्य रेलवे अपने सभी पाँच मंडलों – मुंबई, भुसावल, नागपुर, पुणे और सोलापुर – पर मार्च 2025 में कवच कार्य आदेश मिलने के छह महीने के भीतर लोको परीक्षण पूरा करने वाला पहला क्षेत्रीय रेलवे बन गया है। कवच को टकरावों को रोककर तथा खतरे में सिग्नल पास करने के जोखिम को कम करके परिचालन सुरक्षा को बढ़ाने के लिए डिज़ाइन किया गया है।

यही कारण है कि ऋषिकेश मुखर्जी की सत्यकाम, आशीर्वाद, चुपके-चुपके और आनंद जैसी फ़िल्में आज भी बेहद पसंद की जाती हैं। ऋषिकेश मुखर्जी की अधिकतर फ़िल्मों को पारिवारिक फ़िल्मों के दायरे में रखा जाता है क्योंकि उन्होंने मानवीय संबंधों की बारीकियों को बखूबी पेश किया। उनकी फ़िल्मों में राजेश खन्ना, अमिताभ बच्चन, धर्मेन्द्र, शर्मिला टैगोर, जया भादुड़ी जैसे स्टार अभिनेता और अभिनेत्रियां भी अपना स्टारडम भूलकर पात्रों से बिल्कुल घुलमिल जाते हैं। इसके अलावा ऋषिकेश दा ने टेलीविजन के लिए ‘तलाश’, ‘हम हिंदुस्तानी’, ‘धूप छांव’, ‘रिश्ते’ और ‘उजाले की ओर’ जैसे धारावाहिक भी बनाए। वैसे ऋषिकेश मुखर्जी की मुख्य फिल्मों में शामिल हैं -सत्यकाम, ‘अनुराधा’, आशीर्वाद, चुपके-चुपके,’आनंद’, ‘गोलमाल’, ‘अभिमान’, ‘नमक हराम’ आदि। ऋषिकेश मुखर्जी को जिन पुरुस्कारों से सम्मानित किया गया उनमें शामिल हैं -‘दादा साहब फाल्के पुरस्कार’, ‘पद्म विभूषण’, ‘राष्ट्रीय फ़िल्म पुरस्कार’, ‘फ़िल्मफेयर पुरस्कार’।
